Alejandro Lo Celso of ArgentinaBorn: Córdoba, Argentina, 1970 Alejandro Lo Celso is an information & type designer. He has worked as an art director at different media, has taught typography, type design, and letter history at different design schools in different countries, and has collaborated with diverse design publications and projects around Latin America. He holds a typeface design master from the University of Reading, (UK), and a post-diplôme from the ANRT, Atelier National de Recherche Typographique, Nancy, France. He has given talks and workshops in Argentina, Chili, France, Germany, and Mexico, and his work has been published in various international design magazines. In 2001 he founded PampaType, the first Argentinean type foundry, through which he has published award-winning typefaces such as Rayuela, Borges and Arlt. He was a professor at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and at the University of the Americas Puebla, Mexico; a co-director of the Center of Advanced Studies on Design, Puebla Mexico, and a professor at the Editorial Design Master program, Anáhuác University, Mexico city. Currently Alejandro teaches at the master of typographic design, Gestalt design center in Veracruz, Mexico; is a guess professor at the school of fine arts of Toulouse, France; and works as an independent type and design consultant.
