Lars Törnqvist is a linguist and typographer, mostly engaged in text encoding and text processing for various linguistic purposes.

His main interest in the typographic field is old letterforms in writing, engraving, stonecutting, embroidery and metal type.

He has previously issued a few free fonts with phonetic and runic characters.
