Adam Twardoch of PolandBorn: Tychy, 1975 Born 1975 in Poland, Adam Twardoch now lives in Berlin, Germany’s thrilling capital, where he works as typographic consultant to worldwide clients. He specializes in multilingual typography and font technology, with special focus on Central European issues and OpenType. Adam serves as scripting products and marketing manager at Fontlab Ltd., an multinational software company specializing in font creation software. Adam is also typographic consultant at MyFonts, where he handles multilingual font issues, does typographic research and some web design and development. In addition, Adam works as multilingual typography and font technology consultant for a number of clients including Linotype, Adobe Systems, Corel Corporation, Monotype Imaging, Tiro Typeworks, WinSoft, and others. Adam develops OpenType fonts, creates multilingual versions of typefaces, and occasionally designs print publications and websites. He regularly writes and lectures about fonts, typography and web design in English, German and Polish. Adam studied business administration and cultural studies at European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany. 2000–2006, he was Board member and country delegate for Poland at ATypI (Association Typographique Internationale), of which he remains a member. He is also member of GUST, the Polish TeX Users’ Group. 2005–2006, he was visiting lecturer in the AKT typography program at the UKSW Wyszyński University in Warsaw, Poland.
