“As I continue to purge subscribed (and unsubscribed) emails to simplify my inbox, I'll always keep MyFonts. The type and artists you feature are always inspiring. And the clean well-designed emails look great on desktop as well as iPhone. Keep up the great work!”

— Shawn from Charlotte NC, January 22nd 2012

“As a non-designer but still big-time font geek, I just have to send along some love to the folks at myfonts.com. Your newsletters are always SO well-written and full of quirky interest. As someone who usually deletes newsletters before I even open them, I just had to tip my hat in your direction. Keep up the good work and keep teaching me a thing or two - I really appreciate it. GREAT JOB!!!”

— Jenny from Illinois, January 20th 2012

“Really impecable display of fonts an it usages look forward to more of such always”

— nosh mather, September 7th 2011

“I have to say, this is a truly remarkable site, in many different ways. The font-recognition function alone is incredible, and the way you can display text in real time in different faces is phenomenal as well. Thank you for your effort in creating this, and good luck to you! It is an invaluable asset to anyone in the print industry.”

— N. from Hollywood, August 25th 2011

“I design wine & spirits packaging, which is 90& type design. MyFonts has become my “Amazon.com” of fonts, in the BEST sense. Easy on, easy search, easy purchase (with multiple font formats & licensing options always offered, easy download, easy off. And with deadlines shrinking daily in our industry TIME is of the essence. And MyFonts brilliantly removes all barriers between me & fonts that I need, safely, reliably, securely. And with Font one can quickly preview a font candidate in resolution good enough to convince the thriftiest of clients, who gladly pay MyFonts (very reasonable) purchase fees because they can PREVIEW its usage. Also, general font searches are a breeze, allowing a designer to scroll through MyFonts vast database of fonts quickly & in the style of usage, again, via Font! And many a late night, a mystery font is revealed to me via MyFonts' other great exclusive & amazing utility called “What the Font”. Simply upload a sample, and this eerily accurate & sophisticated optical recognition tool 90% of the time homes in on your font, or offers excellent substitutes. If it WTF fails to ID the font, 24/7, you can turn to MyFonts online community of eagle-eyed of font wizards eager to pounce & help ID even the most obscure font (so far only stumped them with font used in original Dune books (no, it’s not Benguiat , Davida or Devinne). They will even recommend non Myfonts resources in (unlikely)) event Myfonts doesn't have your font. Finally Myfonts LISTENS. Last year I asked for more calligraphic scripts with lots of alternate glyphs & hand-fit swashes. I have been inundated with new scripts (check out the amazing new Monaco family. As a typophile, I am continually impressed by MyFonts relentless pursuit of new fonts or resurrection of forgotten type treasures. Example, this year’s timely addition of Canada Type’s swashy retro 70s gems. And revival fonts like Aviano (with massive glyph & style options. CREATIVITY, TOP-OF-TREND (even launching trends I assert), SPEED & EASE OF USE EQUALS MyFonts. Without them, creatively speaking, I'd be dead in the water. Simply the PREMIER font source in the world. Robert in SF, Senior Design Director for a top-10 wine & packaging design agency.”

— Robert in San Francisco, August 11th 2011

“I get dozens of newsletters and digest emails in my inbox for my various hobbies, interests, and curiosities every day. So far though, the myfonts newsletter is the only one I open each and every time I get it, and I'm never disappointed! I always end up excited and pumped to either design or work on my own fonts after reading it. Thanks for revving up my passion for fonts with each newsletter.”

— Aimee Pepper, April 6th 2011

“MyFonts is my favorite website. I visit every day. Not only is the website very well-designed and easy to use, the customer service is just terrific. Example: I ordered a font and mistakenly clicked on a Mac download. And I don't use a Mac! I was upset, and thought I'd thrown away my money for a font I could never use.... and it was one I really liked, too! So I thought I'd take a chance and plead my case to the MyFonts customer service folks, and what do you know???... in a very short time, my problem was solved! I did not have to pay for my blunder! I got the font I wanted. I was truly grateful and sent my sincere thanks. To top it all off, this was right before Christmas! Yes, I am one happy customer!”

— Cat from Texas, March 21st 2011

“My mantra: “He who has the most fonts when he dies, wins.””

— Peg, March 16th 2011

“First of all, I love, love, LOVE receiving your newsletter each month! Second, while it may seem petty, I thought you might like to know that I recently unsubscribed from a monthly font newsletter from one of your competitors. Why should I allow them to make my eyes bleed with their boring and ugly fonts and treatments? Whoever designs these newsletters should be paid TRIPLE!”

— Brian of DreamStar Studios, March 9th 2011

“I've added ‘shopping fonts’ to my interests on Facebook profile.”

— Joe, X-Team, March 8th 2011

“How I love that tingly feeling I get when I open your newsletter email and see just the top of what is about to grab my attention and anesthetize any work I'm doing for a good ten minutes! Then, there’s the little pause I do, a slight inhale, and. scrollllllllllll down... oh baby, I am sinking into a heady world, a wild ride through emotions conjured by excellently designed (nay, crafted!) fonts of all kinds! My eyes widen as I scroll deeper until I land at the bottom, fully satisfied and panting slightly from the whirlwind journey across the wide lands of font design. I am spent ... for now! -f”

“I am a Calligrapher, so I LOVE Michael Clark’s Peanut fonts. They're lovely and bouncy with a great "sense of “mad” with those surprise endings to strokes, and that cap G is totally cool ! I have totally re-vamped our local Calligraphy group’s Newsletter, using it throughout, only right to have a real calligraphic looking font in a newsletter for Calligraphers, n'est ce pas?”

— Sue from Townsville, February 10th 2011

“This is by far the best font matching tool around. I use it at least once a day and it saves me hours of font searching time!
One of our salesmen was in the art dept. and said "Wouldn't it be great if you could scan
a font and send it to a site to have someone
tell you the name of the font?"
He was asking this as I was downloading to your site and when the results came back he was amazed and astounded.
THANK YOU”

— Gail From Astro, June 17th 2010

“I'm not a designer, art anorak or font user, but your newsletter is a strangely satisfying treat!”

— Chris, June 4th 2010

“This is by far the best font identification website. I actually found the iPhone app first and really couldn't use it very well because I have a 2G iPhone with a lousy camera. I'm so glad to know you have a companion website!”

— Nancy in Arizona, May 14th 2010

“My obsession is font identification and I have helped out in the WTF forum, although I am a regular at another Type ID forum. I must say that MyFonts has the best key word search capability of any font site I have used, and one of the largest font collections, so I frequently locate the ‘mystery fonts’ by searching the MyFonts collection.”

— Bowfinpw near Seattle, May 14th 2010

“The one newsletter I actually look at comes from My Fonts. Really like the features, the big bold writing. All other newsletters I receive I mostly file away thinking I might revisit at them at a later date - but later never comes. The My fonts newsletter is always in the back of my mind and whenever I need a font I revisit them and look for a standout and if I can't find it in a newsletter I find it on your website. A really great and functional resource. Love it.”

— Claudia from Melbourne, May 12th 2010

“I really enjoy reading the type examples you put out in your newsletters. They are witty and odd and always somehow verging on poetry. Whoever writes them should be commended appropriately.”

— Dill Pixels, May 12th 2010

“Hi, guys.

Just a quick message to say how much I thank you for such a great service! It has never been this easy for me to browse, choose and buy fonts before. I'm addicted to My Fonts!!! I can't wait for a new project to come up so I can do my font research with an aim (otherwise I'd just buy everything you've got here...)
Thanks!

Cheers from Brazil”

— Lu Cury, May 12th 2010

Like a philanthropic font...”

Mabuhay!

Bangis

— Bangis from Manila, April 14th 2010

“MyFonts is trouble. The minute that newsletter comes in, no matter what else I am doing, I end up browsing fonts. Seriously, MyFonts, what are you trying to do to me? I'm exhausting my list of excuses for these purchases. I'm headed for hot water when my husband finds out that these fonts that I covet are not “actual” business purchases...”

— LWSAPIR, April 13th 2010

“MyFonts is dangerous! Warning: Can be seriously addicting and stressful (I don't have enough font budget to be able to buy even a fraction of the faces I want). Thanks for providing such a great site. The regular e-newsletter is terrific, but it hurts to see so many wonderful new fonts and not be able to afford them ALL. There are 2 basic types of people in the world: Those who understand the elegance, power and amazing beauty of typefaces, and those that don't.”

— Len from Florida, April 13th 2010

“You provide me with the latest ‘fashion’ in fontware. I'm going to need to apply for a bank loan soon to support my need to be in style!”

— therese from oak park, April 13th 2010

— Amy from Norwalk, CT, March 31st 2010

“Thanks to MyFonts, I am an avid lover of type. (I have been called obsessed.) I was introduced through the What The Font forum, likely the most brilliant invention since digital typography. Though I am not old enough for a credit card/PayPal account, I have a wishlist album more than 200 fonts strong. I plan on buying all of them when I have the chance. Thanks to MyFonts, I can say that I already have a life-long hobby!”

— T. M., March 28th 2010

“You ROCK!!!! You just saved me hours of research. Identifying a font that would have taken me all day just took less than a minute! THANK YOU!!!”

— Amy Z , March 23rd 2010

“Absolutely brilliant! To the point, informative, and visually stunning - three traits I look for in a newsletter, all three of which the MyFonts Newsletters possess. Even when I don't have the time to read through the entire thing, I make sure to scroll through it once, something very few nesletters get me to do. Have had it to be auto-starred, and saved in a seperate folder since the day I saw the first one, which has been a while now. Like I said - Absolutely brilliant!”

— Premankan Seal, March 15th 2010

“At first my Myfonts newsletters went into my ‘Keep’ folder in my email program, between all these other publications. A few month ago I figured the Newsletters needed a separate folder, called MyFonts-Font inspiration. That’s what it is-and more. Great!”

— Pierre Brouwer, March 12th 2010

“Stop sending me these newsletters! They keep costing me MONEY. I'm hooked.”

— Janet S, March 11th 2010

— Dave from Addlestone, Surrey., March 11th 2010

— Rafael Masoni, March 11th 2010

— Ashbird from Hoboken, March 11th 2010

“My computer begins to groan as your newsletters pop in, because me as a self confessed font addict begin a rather unfortunate display of spontaneous drooling into the keyboard with ‘ooohs’ and ‘aaahs’ and ‘ I must have that font NOW’ resonant though my cave. My mind fills with anguish …. where can a mere recalcitrant troglodyte like myself possibly pilfer a few filthy coins to nourish my habit”

— Renee from South Africa, March 10th 2010

“A bit of history! Back in 1992, we bought the entire MyFonts (Bitstream) font library which came on approx 100 x 3.5" floppies and painstakingly loaded them onto the supplied 40Mb HDD that came with the package.
All I can say, is thank you to Tim Berners-Lee for creating the internet to save having to do the same again these days and thanks to you guys for What the font, simply brilliant!
We've been MyFonts customers ever since.”

— Andy from Warwickshire, February 10th 2010

“Right now I have 927 emails in my inbox, yet I “dropped everything” as usual when I saw the newest newsletter from you folks. I get so excited about your marvelous fonts, and I love to use them in various ways for family and friends. They seem to get as much pleasure from them as I. These are fabulous for designers, scrapbookers and other crafters, and for folks who “just” like their printed materials to have a panache, an artistic awareness, some dignity, or some fun about them. I celebrate the day I discovered you folks while looking for a font that had eluded me. Keep up the GREAT WORK!! and THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!”

— Dallas priest, February 9th 2010

This got even better when we received contact letting us know that there was an update to a font we had purchased around two years previous, and the update was free.

We didn't realise that this kind of thing was part of the deal... but we sure are pleased about it!

We'll continue to use your great site, and we'll also carry on recommending you to folks that we know and work with.

Please keep up the grand work,

Paul.”

Thanks so much for the “Three Designers from Moscow” feature in the latest newsletter. I am always on the lookout for new Cyrillic fonts and you have provided a small goldmine. That all these fonts also include the Latin character set is a bonus!

John”

“You may get tired of my praise, but what can I do? Excellent newsletter, by far the highlight of my day. My only question is: who comes up with the snippets of sentences that sample the fonts? Like: This week: Pardons 35% off and Train #3 to the park and don't forget, Squeeze by after 5 laps!! I can only think that someone is getting tiny bits of dozens of nearby conversations! It’s a gas!”

— Evan from COLD Oregon, December 8th 2009

“I know almost nothing about font-design. Until recently, I only knew, that no matter how hard I try to make my text comfortably readable, either in print or on the web, in the end, it will bore me to death.

That changed with the first (free) font, that I downloaded from here. And now, MyFonts teaches me about what I *want to know* about font-design. Where have you been all those years?”

— Overrating the Web, November 13th 2009

“I find nothing more exhilarating than to log into my email and find the Rising Stars or Creative Characters in my mailbox. It makes me feel like a kid in a candy shop, I just want everything! keep up the good work. You continue to inspire me time and again.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”

— Sam from Minnesota, November 12th 2009

“In this time of über-sexy websites and designers who scream “attitude” - but who've forgotten how to whisper “taste” - you've raised the bar and kept it there. I'm an old newspaper hand who began in the teletype era, reading reporters' copy from an unravelling paper spiral spat out by a clackety mechanical machine. For those who still recall the pungent smell of rubber solution and the hiss of the page-making artist’s scalpel, the fonts you display are a delight. We turned those terse words into page art, cutting commas and descenders and coaxing ligatures with no more than a razor blade and old coffee. Civilised typography - and I'm delighted to find you value it too.”

— Rahul from Goa, November 12th 2009

“MyFonts makes me do backflips over typography.”

“Wait a second: When did e-mail design get this good? I don't think there is one e-mail a month that makes me all giddy and inspired to create fonts than your newsletter. Never thought a 17-year-old amateur could be hyped up over a font.”

— Ashraf from New York City, October 9th 2009

“Dear MyFonts,
Your newsletter is great. I understand everything, even if I am a 14-year-old amateur. Thanks for letting me look smart when I'm walking on the city and I point at some ad or sign or whatever and say 'Oh, well, that’s , and they used it all the wrong way!". Even if I'm making all the stuff up.
Really, thanks :-)
Tomas.”

— Tomás from Argentina, October 9th 2009

“Seriously, you guys do an amazing newsletter. In fact, it’s so amazing and the interviews are always so great, I think you should consider doing a myfonts.com magazine section. all about what’s new in the world of typography. That would be the most epic thing possible.

If only every newsletter ever sent was as beautiful and informative as yours...”

— Aron from Budapest, Hungary, October 9th 2009

“The MyFonts newsletter and the site - with its excellent design and amazing tools - has made a font hussy out of me.
In my line of work I have no need of fancy fonts; what came with my computer is good enough.
And as I'm not a graphic designer or artist or letters person, I don't even know what most of the terms mean.

So why am I buying new fonts every few months? I blame MyFonts.”

— Gatonegro, September 18th 2009

“I always uncheck the ‘receive our newsletter’ box when I sign up at a website. I think I forgot to do this with MyFonts, but it was a happy mistake -- it’s really exciting to see all the fantastic new fonts people are creating, and the editors of the newsletter always write interesting, informative articles on the featured fonts.”

— Paul from Penticton, Canada, January 28th 2009

“The last thing I want on a busy day with lots of deadlines to meet is another newsletter that keeps me from doing what I'm here for.

Then ruthlessly the Rising stars appear every month and do just that. How can you create such an informative and - yes - beautiful newsletter and show us all those wonderful typefaces we don't have? Don't you have anything better to do? And this new website of yours. What were you thinking this elegant easy-to-use world that keeps me browsing forever? You really seem to ask for my attention. Now you have it. I hope you're happy now.

Seriously… MyFonts is the No. 1 place to look for new fonts. And I can't think of a No. 2 just now.”

— Henning, January 26th 2009

My curiosity was especially raised today with the mention of Rob Leuschke and his working as a type and lettering designer at Hallmark. I'm very impressed that card companies have been designing their own fonts and would love to hear more about this and how it might affect the fonts we get to purchase later.”

— KFDP, November 6th 2008

“Your Rising Stars newsmails are really one of the few I actually read through and not just delete right away. When I come to think of it, I think it is the only one I don't just delete right away. Thanks for letting me know what’s fresh ;)”

I'm certain that you understand...and, that I am not alone in this passion.”

— Jackie, London, August 29th 2008

The site also offers helpful tools like WhatTheFont, which scans the text on any image you upload and finds the closest matches in its database.”

— MacWorld, October 2008, August 28th 2008

“I found your site when I was looking for a specific font for my wedding invitations. As a graphic designer I appreciate typography, but I never realized there was such a thing as a Typography Nerd until I became one—since I started receiving your newsletters! More, please!”

— Jennifer in San Diego, August 25th 2008

“As a former art major, I have a hard time hiring someone to do design work for me, so I do my own. I recently finished my second website’s design thanks to one of your fonts and Fireworks. I have had people tell me that the site is “heavenly.” Couldn't have done it without you! It is still a work in progress, and if it’s allowed, please take a look:
http://mirepoixvegas.com
That’s the Sweetheart Script that I bought in June that’s the star. Thanks again. I love being able to preview before purchase. It’s great!

Irene”

— Irene from Vegas, August 23rd 2008

“The one vice I must indulge even in this time of tightened belts is my obsession for beautiful fonts. It seems that every time I get this newsletter I impulse-buy a new typeface. Keep up the good work!”

— Kathleen from Oregon, August 21st 2008

“I just read the comments from Joe in France and have to agree! You guys take me back to the days when I was an apprentice for an Art Studio in Detroit, MI. All the type we set and alphabets we created were done by hand & brush or pen and then photostated to make additional letters that then could be made into headings for ads we created for GM and the art staff at Cambell-Ewald. Font creation... may it never become a lost art. Thanks you guys!”

— Don in Torrance, CA, August 21st 2008

“It was up until today that I have not read your newsletter, and I must say that I am thoroughly pleased about it!

I'm a photographer and I do a lot of design work myself, I find that looking for fonts is the most time-consuming thing about designing. Thanks to the newsletter, I've found two new fonts to lust after in just one letter:)

I look forward to the next one, keep ‘em comin’!”

— Jackie from Alberta, Canada, August 21st 2008

“I may be a granddad designer but the MyFonts newsletter in my inbox every month keeps me young! I notice there’s an ‘Unsubscribe’ link here - surely NOT! Who UNsubscibes? Not any designer I'd want to know, that’s for sure!

Keep it going cos you guys are INSPIRATIONAL!

Thanks a million!”

— Roger in the Algarve, August 20th 2008

“Operating from the ‘Armpit’ of Africa means I as professional designers don't have all the access that European and American designers might have, so it was great delight that your emails arrive.

The sense of immediacy that the information and presentation is much like getting an IV of caffeine straight into my creative vein.

There seems very little appreciation for top quality typography by some of the local designers/agencies and the local design colleges no longer focus on the importance of superior typography.

So a huge thank you for my creative injection.

All the best to those involved.”

— Bazil Raubach, August 20th 2008

“Thank goodness!!
A super dated font beloved by a client... wracked my brain trying to recall it... enter “What the font” Took less than a minute... I am impressed... and I own the silly thing for under $20. GREAT WORK !!!”

— Sy from the Island, August 4th 2008

— Robin, July 30th 2008

“Just wanted to share that I look forward to each and every newsletter. As geeky as that might sound, I find every time it arrives in my inbox, I have a sense of excitement; reflecting the fact that so far, the newsletter has never failed to deliver. I cannot explain it, but the quality typefaces you highlight provide a very special & unique enjoyment to me.

The obtuse-though-somehow-relevant sample text alone warms me like little else does. Thank you!”

— Joe in Bordeaux, July 18th 2008

“You folks are great. I love to browse your new offering and really get a kick out of the free fonts. Here is a good thought- at first all I did was download free stuff, but your site is so good and offered such nice work, that eventually I found myself forking over real money for really good products too.”

— Ellen Kirk, July 16th 2008

“Thanks for the font recognition service. I just recommended this site to my designers and they were wonderstruck.

This has helped sort out our problem to a large extent.

We are planning to use the services on our Net Goons website

— Net Goons, June 11th 2008

“Mark R. solved my problem in record time. I work at a print shop and the pdf file was the only file the client had; but new business cards had to be made. Thanks to all who helped, and espcially Mark R. who nailed it. Much appreciated.”

I searched for weeks and then I found myfonts.com and used WhatTheFont search and... 10 seconds and there it was! Wow, you guys are awsome! Thank you so very much!”

— Mike from Little Rock, May 16th 2008

“MyFonts is a fabulous site. I've become a bit addicted to scrolling through the many offering, creating albums, trying out different fonts. WhatTheFont is a great resource - it is amazing how it identifies fonts and once, when it couldn't come up with the answer, I tried the Member Forum with excellent results. What a super group - friendly, and I received an answer almost immediately from a very nice and helpful person. Finally, I have to say that Chris Dargue in Customer Service is really, really good at his job. Thank you Chris!”

— MCM in Connecticut, May 15th 2008

— Kiwi in Bali, May 8th 2008

— Nora from Chicago, May 7th 2008

“Before opening my new home store, I felt like I would need a font that represented me and the feel of my store. I knew it would be a vital part of my branding of items in the future, so I spent a lot of time investigating fonts... like alot of time!!!

My Fonts had THE BEST fonts industry wide, hands down! I spent at least 9 hours on their site alone.(my friends thought I was crazy)I ended up going with the Ruthie font and it is now a big part of my branding and look of my store.

I love the stores of the artists and I really love the selection. Keep up the great work!!”

— catherine from seattle, May 6th 2008

“Your ‘Rising Stars’ email is the best HTML email I receive every month. If only you knew the number of times I cherry pick fonts for use from it - I store the old ones and review when starting a branding project.

Keep up the excellent work.”

— Richard from London, April 8th 2008

“I just realised I never look anywhere else for fonts anymore - I used to slog through dozens of sites looking for just the right font for a project or trying to match a font given to me by a client - now I just go to you guys and I've never failed to find just what I'm looking for.”

— deb from Australia, April 7th 2008

“This site is a wonderful place to find fonts. Not only that, their support team is great! When I made a mistake in downloading a Mac font file instead of the Windows equivalent, it took them less than 30 minutes to fix the problem and get back to me.”

“Hey... you know what? I think I might sometimes be described as web-weary. All the money making angles, spam-alot, adwords, internet low-life... everyone it seems, levering away.

Well, for four+ years I have been reading each and every one of your vibrant newsletters and every one is a gem. One day, content like this will be seen as the ‘Golden age of the web’.

Congratulations. Don't let the monster of commerce dumb you down. I just wish I was in graphic design, where I am sure I would have a hefty account with you.”

— Captain Clay-Mate, Guildford, England, March 6th 2008

“I look forward to every MyFonts Newsletter with glee. The thought, the research, the depth, the creativity is truly inspiring. Back in 1991 I was told by my mentor to know fonts and hot keys and I'll go far. I love adding new fonts faces to my ever expanding pool of font knowledge. No one may want to travel in a car with me and listen to my constant banter on every font I see, but to me it is all art! Thank you. Trish”

— THE Artist Trish, March 6th 2008

“Just plain incredibly helpful, this site is a joy to visit.

“Thanks for your monthly newsletter. It always brightens my day. When I saw Sweetheart Script last month I must admit I was slightly disappointed, but only because I had only just completed my wedding invitations prior to receiving this email, and Sweetheart Script would have been perfect!

I chose Dominique however, and I'm still happy with my choice. I've had many comments about the font used in my invites!”

— Dee from Perth, February 8th 2008

What an amazing treasure trove of creative fonts! And so many young and talented designers adding their efforts to the existing classic fonts. As a recently retired graphic designer, I am looking forward to doing my own projects for a change. I will certainly become a customer. Thanks for such a great, user-friendly site.”

— TJ, Atlanta, GA, January 16th 2008

“I've been a professional Desktop Publisher for close to 4 years now and until I found WTF I would manually search through some 3000 fonts.
This soaked up minutes of my time. Minutes leads to hours, hours to days and days to weeks. Literally since I have been using WTF I have saved weeks of my life scanning through fonts. I'm very pleased with the results and am considering naming my second born after you. (My first born being named “Ampersandsansserif” or “Little Ampie” for short.)”

— Daniel from London ON, January 11th 2008

“I saw a font on a restaurant menu with the most interesting ampersand, I had to know what it was. When I got home, I crudely drew what I remembered of it, and submitted it to WhatTheFont. At the top of the list was Scala Sans Italic - the very font I had been looking for! Now I've been using WhatTheFont almost daily for over a year, and have become accustomed to the amazing things it does, but this truly blew me away when I saw how different my drawing was from the actual font. Well done!”

“I had an Office 2003 update crash and have been fighting through the results of that for several days now; unable to uninstall, find answers or help anywhere. I almost didn't bother trying to download a new font for fear of the repercussions, but decided the worst thing that could happen is it wouldn't work, right?

To my utter and complete amazement, the download wizard not only recognized the faulty upgrade but offered to (and actually DID) remove it!!!! Who'da thunk ordering a $19 font would solve bigger problems!!!!

Makes me VERY glad I opted for purchasing a similar font from MyFonts as opposed to the exact font from somebody else. [Which, btw, I found using the “What the Font” feature -- another fantastic attribute!] At the risk of totally unprofessional gushing, “I love you guys!””

— Meg of Columbus, Ohio, December 30th 2007

“Wow. Visited another font-finding site first, and answered twenty questions only to be offered over 500 possibilities.

Found you, uploaded a jpeg and - yippee - you were bang on the nail, first time!”

— Jon from tellyAds.com, December 25th 2007

“Thank you so much for the ease-of-use of your website, the reverse engineering capability of WhatTheFont, and the ability to quickly print all business for the year at tax time.

You have truly improved the experience of type browsing with simple and beautiful workflow.”

— Tim from San Francisco, December 23rd 2007

“I would like to tell you that I am very happy from the last experience I had with your company. I purchased Flux and installed it on my computer one year ago. I recently purchased a new computer with Vista, I went to your web site and I easily was able to download your fonts in my new computer.”

— Bernard from Saint-Bruno, Quebec, December 19th 2007

“I just have to let you people know how much I love your WhatTheFont site; it is the most useful site I know.

I have over 3500 fonts on my system and obviously can't remember them all, WhatTheFont saves me so much searching time.

I love it!”

— Michael from West Yorkshire, December 19th 2007

“Within 30 minutes of a WhatTheFont posting, two experts identified the font for a logotype that had been driving me crazy for three weeks.

I've been able to test-drive a logotype using your vast inventory of fonts combined with the text of my new company’s name -- and it’s been four hours of pure adrenaline, seeing the possibilities that could bring my corporate identity to life.

I will be purchasing at least three fonts and may become addicted enough to add a half dozen more.”

— Keith Styrcula from Westport, CT, November 22nd 2007

“I just wanted to commend you guys on the “WhatTheFont” utility. What a fantastic piece of software!

As a freelance Graphic Designer working in the screenprinting industry I get dozens of requests to redraw logos in Adobe Illustrator from existing JPGs. “WhatTheFont” saves me hours of wasted time looking through font books and guess work trying to match fonts in the files I'm sent. All I have to do now is send the JPG onto “WhatTheFont” and I've found the font I want in seconds instead of hours.

Brilliant!”

— Steve Younis from Sydney, Australia, November 15th 2007

“Thank you for the great option of being able to reinstall (for no extra charge) a couple of fonts I purchased a couple of months ago after accidentally deleting them!

Love all your products!”

— symasapi, November 7th 2007

“Your brilliance scares me.”

— Jim from Kansas, November 2nd 2007

“MyFonts is the most exciting thing on the web. Typography is one the undiscovered treasures of the art world.

As an ex-Creative Director hiring and firing Designers I always looked at their typography first. It told me all I needed to know about their real design ability and judgement.

Like the BBC, Radio 4 and The Times, MyFonts is one of the few reasons not to succumb to madness in an insane world.

Bless.”

— Michael from Sussex, November 2nd 2007

“My 6 month old Mac PowerBook Pro Laptop was recently destroyed in an accident. Although I was lucky enough to retrieve the bulk of documents, I was unable to get some of my favorite fonts that I had purchased specifically for my new - now old - Mac. I was preparing to repurchase the same fonts for my new Mac when an attention-grabbing notice pops up telling me that I had already purchased those very fonts. While grumbling to myself, “Tell me about it...” the message went on to inform me that I could re-download those fonts - FOR NO ADDITIONAL COST!!!!!
In the beginning, switching to a Mac from a PC computer made me nervous when it came time to choose which font format I needed - I'm not a computer wiz - and decided to ask. A representative responded quickly, telling me not to worry, that if my first format choice was not correct, they would assist me in downloading the proper one.

Saving me money and great customer service in one place? Hard to believe these days, but MyFonts has managed to pull it off for me, and will continue to receive my business!”

— Cruzlin Picabo, October 31st 2007

“Thanks ! First time I try “What The Font”... BING ! Only few second to recognize it, even if my picture was not very nice !

— Emily from EMprint Press, September 30th 2007

“It is rare that I have an inner city school student want to be a type Designer, but this year it happened and the next day your article on Frantisek Storm appeared!

There are few things I enjoy more than typefaces and their origins, but connecting a student with a real world designer is one of them!

Thanks for the excellent writing and keep them coming! You never know who you may inspire!”

— Cherié, Metro Tech High School, Phoenix AZ, August 24th 2007

“Thanks to the way you run your website!

I had a careless tech wipe out most of my hard drive. (I know, I know - back up!) I had forgotten completely that MyFonts kept my orders as part of my account.

Bless you! Bless you all! One piece of recovery that ended up being relatively painless - I can't thank you enough!”

— Meg from Columbus, OH, August 22nd 2007

“I love your site and have long been a member.

I needed a new font for a project, and your site listed but could not sell the version I needed. However, you gave me a link to where I could get it.

Thank you. It made getting what I needed fast and easy. You gave me the best possible customer service, even though I could not make a purchase from you.

You are top on my list for any future needs. I will always come to your site first.”

— Erin from Denver, August 19th 2007

“I bought Vintage ITC on 11/1/02, I just bought a new computer and for some reason the font didn't transfer to the new computer. I found my purchase record in Quicken and with the order# I could download the font.

Brilliant Service, I will always buy fonts from you!”

— sjf3 Palm Beach, August 14th 2007

“I've used MyFonts.com for several years but today I became a loyal patron. Your customer service is the best!

I would recommend MyFonts.com to anyone...anytime!”

“Inspirational! For our entire studio, it reminds us of what design is all about. When designing you become so involved in the problem-solving issues - logistics, budget, target market - and then we receive your newsletter and it pulls us back to the core of what it is all about: ‘designing brand excellence’ through well considered beautiful typography. THANK YOU for a stunning and always refreshing newsletter.”

— Carmen Lerm from South Africa, July 18th 2007

“I have My Fonts as my home page as typography is my passion! It’s so easy to find what you're looking for, and to look at comparisons,
especially being able to type in the word(s) you need - if you need that special ‘w’ or ‘k’ for example.

My favourite foundry is P22, I am always drawn to their style and am always on the look out for new ones.”

— Catherine from Guernsey, June 21st 2007

“This web site is must for any graphic designer, the OCR function is the best ever, I love it so much ^_^

Please keep it free, and add a donation button, it’s really the best thing ever after Google, and I'm not exagerating. I have tons of fonts, but without this tool I will not be able to find what I'm looking for, I will support this website by buying as much as I can afford for my projects.

Thank you very much MyFonts.
Anwar.”

— Anwar (Tunisian) From Canada, June 16th 2007

“We had a company approach us, requesting to put an ad in our magazine but ONLY if we could locate the font used for their company name. THEY had no idea what it was as it had been created some years back and no record of the font was found. They were getting fed up of other publications using fonts that were ‘close enough’.

Using a jpg from their site, it took us under 5 minutes to find the font name using WTF & less than 1/2 a day to secure the full page ad.

Thx for a GREAT service!”

— David - Fuengirola (Spain), June 7th 2007

“Really enjoyed your special publication, Distinguished Characters. Just short enough, just long enough to keep me reading and learning. MORE!”

— Terry from LA, June 4th 2007

“What font is great; just follow the instructions on how to supply your image and voilà there’s your font!

Brilliant.”

— Nigel from Shropshire, May 20th 2007

“For those who are not sure about the power of WhatTheFont: it’s incredible! It has found a font (slipstream) by simply recognizing 1 letter only from my (bad) jpg pic!!!

Please, look at Slipstream font to know what I'm saying....”

— Scaraz, May 20th 2007

“I have never needed to go beyond MyFonts as a resource and I just love the convenience and ease of access it affords me. I have been in the middle of a project and in need of something a ‘bit special’ in a font, only to go straight to the website and in a matter of minutes I could select and download precisely what I needed. Superb service and accessibility! My sincere thanks.”

— Sandra from Cork, Ireland, May 17th 2007

“I've used MyFonts.com as a reference for a while now, using it to identify fonts, look for new fonts, and just have fun using their tools (like What the Font and More Fonts Like This). I got on their email list and have received their newsletter for a while now. It’s interesting stuff. And then the other day in the newsletter, they sucked me in.

A new font with African influences called Tsotsi had just come out, and it was beautiful. It’s got a off-center humanist feel to it, but it’s also clean and readable. And best of all it was on sale for about $10. So I bought it.

And since I was going through checkout already, I had a few other fonts I saved into my favorites: Grilled Cheese, Nagomi… I added them to my basket too. I looked at a bunch of others too, but finally found the restraint at just 3.

So their experience is great. They let you do all sorts of great things with their site even if you aren't a customer. And that sucked me in and got me involved. I created an account, saved favorite fonts, signed up for the newsletter… and then a few months later when I wasn't really looking to buy a font, I ended up buying 3.

Bravo.”

— DaveC, May 14th 2007

is the kind of stuff that lifts design up a couple of notches.”

— dmc, May 11th 2007

“I teach a short typography course at our university. Your website is at the top of the resource list I give to my students. Your website frequently features biographies of type designers. Have you ever considered publishing a book of 100 of the most important type designers? Or is such a book out there already?”

I've purchased A LOT of things in the web.

But, lemme tell you: FORGET Amazon, FORGET Ebay, FORGET E-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g

Guys, you at MyFonts, have provided me in the last 20 minutes with just the BEST BEST BEST BEST BEST online service I've received EVER.

Your site is a role model of what a shopping site should be (in your category of product, of course). Listen: When, after registering and purchasing the font I wanted (alternate gothic 2) (yes, yes, I know, I'm just ANOTHER dork who wanted to own the official YouTube typeface, sorry about that, chief!) well, right after that I decided to keep perusing at your site AND I JUST COULDN'T BELIEVE that now your font examples were showing me for ALL THE FONTS showed the same words I had chosen to use during the ‘drive test’....!!!! Now, THAT'S PERSONALIZE SERVICE TO THE TOOOOP!!!!!

I am an avid font collector for both home and work, but since I work for a non-profit and budget depends upon donations, I stick to the free fonts. No longer need I spend hour upon hour scouring type libraries for elusive fonts, nor work back late into the night; now I can get back to the far more pleasurable task of enjoying a quiet ale as the setting sun alights the sky. Ahhhh. . .

God bless you, MyFonts.”

— Angela from BrisVegas, Australia, September 13th 2006

“In my opinion, emailing will suffice for some technical questions; BUT never as well as a simple, easy, and short telephone conversation. Telephone inquiries do the job quickly, easily, and best understood--assuming the inquiry may be solved in any way.

MyFonts, like so many, prefers to lay back and take emails. That’s their prerogative; but I wonder where they are, and I think they'd get more business and generate good will if they would be so kind as to take telephone inquiries.”

— Ware Adams, September 8th 2006

“I have been purchasing my fonts from you for years and you are a definate factor in my business success.

Additionally, your team identified a typeface for me in about 2 hours! I was amazed.

Bravo!”

“The WhatTheFont Forum really saved the day. I had spent about eight hours using other site’s advanced font identifiers with no luck. Even though your image recognition feature is surely far superior (but couldn't recognize my obscure font), you have the ultimate backup resource in the form of the Forum members. Thank you MyFonts.com!”

— Bruce in Los Angeles, August 25th 2006

“This is the best resource for fonts I have ever found. I like the way you can enter sample text just once and see it appear as a sample for every font...nice. What’s more, you get samples of ways others have used it. I like that there are thousands of really nice fonts as opposed to thousands of fonts but only a few desireables. I love this site and will recommend it to all my friends. Thanks!”

— Sandra Younger from California, August 14th 2006

“I just want to thank you for WhatTheFont. It’s exactly what I've been looking for.

I've been on a quest for a particular font for months. For so ubiquitous a typeface, it’s proven elusive. But, after minimal effort (compared to browsing through dozens of font libraries), I managed to find out that my quarry is indeed Rosewood Fill from Linotype by using WhatTheFont.

While I have absolutely no idea how it works, it did, and remarkably quickly.

If only I'd discovered your site sooner.”

— Adam from Sound & Fury Records in Australia, August 13th 2006

“FINALLY, a site that offers both try-before-you-buy and font matching options -- amazing!

“Usually, I unsuscribe even from e-publications that have to do with my profession! But yours is so succinct and strightforward that I actually read parts of it. Of course, it’s also nice to see your samples of new fonts. What you said about small foundries being more responsive to current trends makes a lot of sense, too.”

— Emily McCoy, retired librarian, August 9th 2006

“This is my favourite font website! I love the way you keep a log of the fonts I have purchased in the past so I can download them again at a later date! I also love the way you can browse through fonts with your own chosen text shown in the sample. I actually enjoy receiving your ‘Rising Stars’ email as well. It’s a great way to get exposure to new and interesting fonts.”

“I just have to tell you that I love MyFonts.

You have a huge selection, everything is clearly organized and easy to use, purchasing is a snap, and I love that fonts I've purchased sit in my own little corner where they can be downloaded again, if necessary.

And did I mention customer service? You folks are awesome! Both times I have needed customer support the experience has been noteworthy, in the most positive sense.”

— Alison, National Gardening Association, April 17th 2006

“I happened upon this site through a Letterhead Fonts (Rare and unique)link. I have a client who wanted a particular font that was not on the other site, I assured him that I would be able to find it somewhere on the net, thinking that I had a snowball’s chance; I was pleasently surprised when I saw all these beautiful fonts. I found the font I was looking for; which now that I have seen this site I'm thinking of suggesting to my client to use some of these new dynamic fonts that would be so much better.”

— the dyslexic signwritter Australia, April 5th 2006

“I check Myfonts to see What’s New, and while doing so I just happen to check the What the Font Forum. Whenever I see a font that looks familiar, I tell the source of origin; however sometimes I may be off if so correct me because we like to accurate in our font origins.
My interest in typefaces goes back to when I was 4 years old back in 1968 when my great-grandmother bought me a bag of toys. Among them was a bunch of magnetic plastic letters and numbers which I played with more than the toys.

Here is a chronological summary of how it all began:

1968 Plastic letters and numbers
1970 Looking in Sears Catalogues and newspapers.
1974 Looking in Magazines.
1983 Looking in Old Magazines at the Cleveland Public Library.
1986 2 dry-transfer lettering catalogues I found in a thrift shop. Checking out books on typefaces at the library.
1988 Checking around at some typographers in the Cleveland area and getting their specimen books. Also found out about interlibrary loan.
1989 Checked around at some typographers nationwide in which I found out about Solotype, Graphic Compositions, Phil’s Photo (now Phil’s Fonts) and Photo-Lettering.
1995 I was givend a system to make dry transfers.
1996 I ordered a photo typesetting machine with some film fonts.
1998 I scouted around and came across a lot of 2 inch film fonts.
1999 I gave the internet a try at the Cleveland Public Library and discovered free fonts and started downloading the one that interest me on to 3 1/2 inch diskettes.
2005 I was given a computer from a member of church.
2006 Ordered some fonts from Myfonts.com.

The saga continues.

This WhatTheFontForum is fun!”

— Robert, April 4th 2006

“Your site is unquestionably the most useful resource for fonts I have ever found and I recommend it to all my colleagues. It has saved me countless hours identifying obscure fonts so quickly and easily so THANK YOU!!!”

“Hi, the What The Font feature on your website is the greatest invention known to mankind. Thank you, thank you…

THANK YOU!”

— Kenny Funk, Coffee Cup Design Studio, NYC, March 30th 2006

“I'm deleting all my other bookmarks - this is the best font website I've experienced. You can't beat the functionality - the ease of locating and view fonts. My favorite was being able to scroll through various fonts in the text of your choice. What a powerful tool. Great Design! I'm a happy “purchasing” customer.”

— Julie from California, March 22nd 2006

“Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I have been trying to find a font for several days with no luck. Your database gave me a match instantly. I will be recommending your website to all my friends.”

— Felix, March 15th 2006

“I am in the printing industry 10+ years and in the Pre-Press department 3 years. I have taught myself all that I know and worked very hard to become the head of my department for the last year and a half. (some times ya gotta toot your own horn). Anyways I can't say that I have EVER come across a more helpful website then MyFonts. I just came across your web site after going round and round with a customer, because my font choice was close but not close enough to their original art work. I scanned in their logo and wa-la. THANK YOU!

Keep it up and I am glad I found your site I will use it for the rest of my life.”

— Rob Cotton at Carlos Printing Concepts in Kent, WA, March 2nd 2006

“Thanks for offering great samples of the fonts you resell. I was able to find about 10 that were close to what I wanted and then we selected our mutual favorite as a group. Thanks for giving us the tools to make this happen!”

— Phil King, NY, February 24th 2006

“I have been using your “What the Font?” feature for the last 2 years, and since I found it I have never looked back!!

Before, it was a case of having to search through hundreds of fonts, either on my computer, through font books, etc, etc, but thanks to your site I can 99% of the time find the font I require much more easily and with a lot less frustration (as well as saving my eyes from going sore concentating on soooooo many letters!!)”

— Richard Peirce, Bullfrographix, UK, February 18th 2006

“I just wanted to let you know that my family and I love the Primer Apples font we downloaded. My youngest daughter is left handed and I was having trouble helping her with her letters; she loves writing now.

Thank you so much!!!”

— Maria Hauerslev, February 15th 2006

“THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. After spending hours sorting thru other font sites I finally found one that meets (and exceeds) my expectations.

A) Most other font sites are link farms, affiliate junk, or just poorly set up. However, I found your site to be a great example of what a user experience should be like. I was able to navigate the site easily - things are well designed - I found what I needed, checked out and had my new font in 5 minutes! No hassles, no headaches, NO B.S.

B) The feature that lets us type text and SEE EXACTLY what our words would look like is BRILLIANT. I don't know how you create those images so fast, but this is the coolest thing I've ever seen when shopping for fonts.”

— Parma of roboteer.com, Dallas, TX, February 9th 2006

“I just wanted to pass along my compliments on your site. I just placed an order after searching multiple font stores over the past few days and your store absolutely blew the others out of the water in ease of use. The ability to preview the font using the text and size of my choice was outstanding as were the multiple search options. I even tried the WhatTheFont service and was astounded at the accuracy of the results. The rotating search tips above the search box is a great idea that I plan to borrow for my e-commerce business. I'm actually a bit sad that my search is over as I was having so much fun browsing, but I'll be back when I have a new design project. Great job!”

— Doug from Reno, February 2nd 2006

“I am a newbie when it comes to using non-traditional fonts. I just wanted to let you know that your emails are packed full of great ideas to help me jump start my next project.

Thanks for the all the hard work, and I just wish I had signed up for your emails sooner.”

— AJ from Colorado Springs, January 25th 2006

“The best resource for digital type on the internet.”

— Brian, January 24th 2006

“I am writing to tell you how very pleased I am with your website. I have been able to find EVERY font I have needed to match a customer’s invitation. Purchasing and downloading are very easy to do, too. I love the variety of fonts available. Sometimes, when I am bored, or need a break from work...I click onto your web-site and just browse fonts. That’s fun for me!!!

Thanks for the great newsletters, too.”

— Joyce, Retail Shopkeeper and Printer in Florida, January 24th 2006

“A client gave me a jpeg of their logo, but at low resolution it just didn't work. The PR person didn't know the font or even the designer who created it, but when I uploaded it to WhatTheFont, it correctly identified it, and I bought it and had it downloaded in a minute. Our result was clearly higher quality than the other poor shnooks who just used the jpeg...”

— Dave from Vancouver, January 24th 2006

“You have a great site and an even greater community. Keep up the great work!”

— Brian from San Francisco, January 21st 2006

— Renee from Pa, January 8th 2006

“Haven't used this site for some time.

WOW! Have you developed and evolved into a fantastic online resource.

I'll be on this site as my main font resource from now on.”

— Paul of Alcone Promotion, January 8th 2006

“Your service rules my typographic world, that’s for sure.

The only thing I would like you to change is the way you present typefaces in the newsletters. The 3D-effect really bugs me!”

— Johan, Stockholm, December 15th 2005

“As a confirmed font-obsessed designer, your What The Font feature has kept me from losing my mind over a new-spotted font I just had to have on my very next project.”

— Betty from Macon GA, December 14th 2005

“MyFonts is one of the greatest services available to the design community. I enjoy seeing what is new in the newsletters. That being said, please stop using big drop shadows and bevel/embosses when showcasing new fonts. This is incredibly distracting to the specimen and a cheesy “design” trickery.”

— Josh from MN, December 13th 2005

“I really love MyFonts and recommend it to all my scrapbooking friends. The tools you provide are so helpful - this site is really well done! I can spend hours just browsing! Thanks!”

— Clara from Matter of Scrap in California, December 13th 2005

“For over a year I've searched high and low for the font used in our tag line from years ago. Another font agency referred me to MyFonts and lo’ and behold you had the font.

Words cannot explain how grateful we are to MyFonts.

Also, a very special thank you to Chris Dargue who helped me install the font properly.”

— Julissa from Houston, Texas, December 1st 2005

“Over the years I have become addicted to your company and am always looking forward for the newsletter.

When browsing - and shopping - I noticed that a lot of the fonts do not pass the crucial test drive "Aufhalten (ja, auf) Wolf? Torf Tell", i.e. this combination of german words inevitably shows the bad kerning of even very famous typographers, whereas sympathic small font factories, e.g. Scriptorium do very well. Couldn't you try this test on fonts before offering them to us?”

— Luise from Munich, November 14th 2005

“Great site! It is a wonderful discovery for Boston Lasers' Studio department - rich stock of familiar and new fonts! http://www.bostonlasers.com”

— Vadim of Boston Lasers, Woburn, Massachusetts, November 11th 2005

“I have to say - ya'll are the best customer service I've ever dealt with.

Thank you, truly.”

— Arla from Mt. Pleasant South Carolina, November 9th 2005

“I just wanted to let you know how much your service has already helped me. I'm a graphic designer from the old paste-up and glue days(huge reprographic cameras, etc) and not particulary computer oriented. So far, I haven't found the fonts I needed anywhere, but I've learned a lot more in the past few weeks about type faces, etc. than I knew in the last 25 years...

Great stuff and Thanks!”

— Ron S. of Austin Texas, October 20th 2005

“I get so much promotional email, and I skim or delete most of it. But I *love* your email newsletters. They're so well done, and I always come away with a new inspiration or two.

I'm doing more design work now, and it’s a pleasure to buy fonts from you folks.”

— Cathy from Portland, Oregon, October 19th 2005

“Just to let ya know how glad I am to find your website, and your font products. Finding this website was a highlight in my work day.

I do custom embroidery design and digitizing. Often my clients want something “expressive” when they request personal notes embroidered on pillows, and I'm excited to be able to offer them a fresh look at fonts.”

— Terry of MyPillowsTalk.com, October 17th 2005

“I love being able to reference my orders. Things happen, even though everything is backed up, and even Macs go south occasionally. It’s so nice to know that I can go to my account and re-download my fonts even a year or more later. This makes me, a graphic, web designer, and font collector, absolutely devoted to buying fonts from MyFonts.com, my first choice for buying fonts.”

— Theresa from Mesa Design House, October 15th 2005

“I found MyFonts last spring, when I needed to download Murray Hill to create menu cards for our wedding reception that would match the style of our invitations. When I established my account, of course, I started receiving your newsletter.

Normally, I hate newsletters. But for some reason, I love yours. I mean enough that I've actually forwarded them to friends.

I work in the communications group at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and lead education and outreach efforts for several research programs -- most notably one called "Tagging of Pacific Pelagics (TOPP)." (www.toppcensus.org). We talk a lot about newsletters, and I consider yours the very best example of how well it can be done.

I just thought you should know. Thanks for all your hard work!”

— Randy Kochevar from Monterey, October 13th 2005

“Having just discovered your website, I can honestly say that it rivals a guy’s fascination with strolling through aisles in a hardware store. Being of the “Letraset” generation, clicking through the typestyles was literally magic without a burnisher, but I was constantly nagged with the feeling that I was doing something illegal. Thanks for the experience, and hopefully I can repay you in the near future.”

— Stephen Salzberg from Hoffman Estates, IL, October 8th 2005

“I just wanted to let you know that you guys have the best newsletters! The time and effort that is put into them is very clear. I look forward to reading them each month.”

— Jacine from Queens, New York, October 8th 2005

— Melissa in California, October 5th 2005

“I came to your website to find a font to address party invitations. The font finder is an incredible tool. I was able to find an appropriate font that matched our printed invitations, and Voila!, I'm now on my way to creating a completely professional presentation to our guests. As a non-commercial user, you've made my one-off project a cinch. Thank you ever so much!”

— Valerie from Chicago, October 2nd 2005

— Heidi from Portland, September 18th 2005

“I've downloaded fonts for many years and you really do have the best selection anywhere. You also make it very managable to download and use immediately with no problems. Your newsletters are also a great way to keep artists updated. Thanks!”

— Lorin from Mill Valley, California, September 15th 2005

“Thanks so much for all your great fonts! I've been designing for years–trying to come up with new ideas is always a challenge-and MyFonts has allowed me to be more creative than ever!

Petras Script is so cool!”

— Karen in Glenmoore, PA, September 14th 2005

“This website is fantastic, I have used it twice and both times come up trumps. The first didn't give me the exact font but by uploading a couple of characters I got a hit on the font family.

Cheers guys.”

— Craig NZ, August 18th 2005

“I was reading about “Photon, Inc” and found your site very interesting. I worked for this company and am the last one with continuous employment through all of the different mergers etc. So many changes over the years.”

— Doug Micklon Salem, NH, August 17th 2005

“You guys Rock! What the Font is the first thing I turn to when I can't remember the name of the font.

Thanks for making my life easier.”

— Rob Houston of Phoenix, Arizona, August 16th 2005

“As a graphic designer I am constantly matching fonts for certain jobs. With the font market forever growing it is getting harder and harder to match fonts.

With your “What the Font” forum I have saved countless hours in searching and recognising fonts...Well Done!”

— Sarah from Australia, August 11th 2005

“I had several less-than-educated guesses, tried another site four times and got nowhere. Ran it by your site and it was nailed the first time. Awesome!”

— Bob Turner, Dunedin, Florida, USA, August 2nd 2005

“Absolute beauty! Rather than countless hours of frustrated searching through countless typefaces... 10 minute cut & paste from an old logo to create the image upload and WhatTheFont came through in spades! Correctly identified the font I required on the first try in about 2 minutes. Where have you been all my life?”

— Jeff, Edinburgh Scotland, August 1st 2005

“The fact that font subscribers can, at any time, download previously ordered fonts just might be one of your strongest sales tools yet implemented.

It’s obvious, but often forgotten in times of computer distress, or computer change-overs.”

— Donald from the Blue Ridge, July 26th 2005

“As a graphic designer I think that the service you provide is one of the best tools I have to work with. I think too that what you guys do is so great because it can educate so many people that have no background and knowledge about the history and the development of typefaces since Gutenberg. (Now I am getting a bit too philosophical.)”

— David Avidor of Oakland, California, July 21st 2005

“MyFonts is a god-send, my client needed a revamp to their disintegrating/compressed logo (ASAP of course), and had no idea what font the logo had been using for the last decade.

MyFonts saved me hours of path creating.

Thanks!”

— Richelle from Toronto, July 7th 2005

“This is absolutely the most wonderful web site I've ever seen. Whoever started this was a genius. Thanks!”

— Eve of Danbury, CT, July 6th 2005

“Your site is absolutely addicting, and I find myself buying and downloading fonts in the middle of the night. This is even better than buying SHOES!”

— Marcy, Southern California, July 5th 2005

“This is the best, can't live without, site ever! Having access to fonts I have already purchased has saved my butt more than once! I'm not big on religion but...God Bless You Guys!"”

— Susan from Dolores, June 29th 2005

“A friend of mine at Abbeville Press recommended your company to me. She said this is the only place she buys her fonts. When I called her to tell her how quickly you'd responded to my problem - and successfully, to boot - her response was "I'm not surprised. That’s why I like them." But I'm surprised - and pleased! Good customer service (unfortunately) is very rare these days.

Thanks for all your good work.”

— JoAnne from Brooklyn, June 23rd 2005

“Job Well Done!! This is a fantastic site for identifying fonts and/or font logos. It is a great pleasure to visit this site and receive timely responses from fellow professionals and non-professionals alike whom are all font enthusiasts like myself.

I am a professional graphic artist who has always had an extremely keen interest in fontography, knowing that ‘typestyles have feelings too’.

Knowing that this site has a wonderful array of members from around the world and an extensive library of fonts to confer with is an undeniable pleasure only a true font enthusiast can admit to. It is a great feeling to be able to utilize this site’s availabilities.

Thank you to all whom made this site a terrific place!!”

— John from Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada, June 6th 2005

“I absolutely had to write to you today because I have never been so impressed with a website in my life. I am working for a client who had what looked to be a seemingly easy logo to recreate. However, I spent over three hours trying to locate his font and was becoming a bit more than frustrated. I tried a font search questionnaire on a different website and it did not get anywhere near locating my font. I tried your “what the font” program and had an answer inside of an hour. Wow what a breeze and how cool is that to have real people identify what to them is an easy and common font. An absolute pleasure. This will be my first and last stop in the future for all of my font needs.”

— Tom Richard from tomrichard.com, May 29th 2005

“I have to say I think your site is the best!!! It is very easy to navigate and use. What I love most is the ability to test the font in my choice of words. When trying to come up with something for a new logo or even client websites it’s nice to be able to test the font before deciding. I had also forwarded the site to a freelance graphic artist I use and she said she already uses the site and loves it as well.”

— Raechelle from Orange County, California, May 23rd 2005

“I just wanted to thank you for offering a fantastic website. Our company has been purchasing fonts from a competitor of yours who was unable to provide a specific font, which you do offer. A google search brought me to your website. I found your site much easier to use, friendly and clean in presentation. You also have a much more encyclopedic collection of available fonts then I have been able to find anywhere else. I was able to present an exact list of fonts we needed to our General Manager, then brag that we would be getting them for a much better price then we are used to seeing. Ordering was simple and quick, and immediately I was able to download and put the fonts to use.

You have become our first resource for any future font needs.

Thank You! from a very satisfied customer.”

— Kristopher from New Albany, May 19th 2005

“your site and fonts are great.

but your newsletters are terrible - why are all the fonts beveled and drop-shaddowed? hard to see the actual font.
ty”

— Ty, May 17th 2005

“Just thought I'd tell you your font finder software is blooming brilliant!!”

— Richard Turnbull, Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK, May 12th 2005

“I have been on your site many times in the past year or so and it’s always the first place I look when I'm looking for new fonts. And I'm sure you've heard this before, but... ‘What The Font’ ROCKS! I've never seen anything like it! What a great resource. It has helped me on a number of occassions with identifying some really great fonts I had seen in print or other places online.

Anyway, I just wanted to congratulate you on a truly user friendly website that could not be more fun to use and more helpful. Great work!”

— Peter from Rhode Island, May 12th 2005

“Today I received your In Your Face March 2005 email.

Well, I have to say, I am now ready for Font Freaks Anonymous.... I spent the next five hours sleuthing around all of the categories in MyFonts and through each of the individual foundries....

I enjoyed my journey and came up with a number of fonts from diverse foundries which I will probably purchase.

Thanks, it was a well-spent AND delightful afternoon.”

— Deborah from San Francisco, March 25th 2005

“After recently browsing your site and finding a font that I was interested in, I looked at purchasing options and found it was in CDpack that made it a more economical purchase. That is, until finding out the shipping cost ($8.25) which came in over 25% of the cost of the CD package itself ($29.95). For someone used to shipping costs for CD media at other online stores being quite reasonable, this was a bit of a shock and was extreme enough to make me abandon the purchase. If your goal is to discourage physical product purchases in hopes of encouraging downloadable purchases, you succeeded on the first part, but in my case, failed on the second. While your site is appealing and easy to use, that shipping cost made the difference in my decision not to purchase from your site.”

— J. G. - Atlanta, February 26th 2005

“This is simply the most useful thing on the internet. I used to spend literally hours (well, ok, an assistant used to spend hours) trying to track down which font was which for logos and broadcast design for TV spots. You'd think that at the rates these producers charge they could get the info...

Long story short: THANKS!”

— Todd in Los Angeles, February 21st 2005

“This is the first time I purchased fonts from your company and I have to tell you that it is the BEST font website that I ever encountered. (I have been a graphic designer for many years so I have seen many sites.) I LOVE the feature where I typed in the “test drive” word and I could see it displayed in the whole font family! I was able to make immediate comparisons and decided on my selections quickly. You have designed a fantastic site that makes my job easier. It is now at the top of the list in my bookmarks. Thank you!”

— Julia of Moscow, PA, February 10th 2005

“My girlfriend bought some invitations and asked me to find a matching font for address labels. I have never bought a font before, and after struggling through a few web sites looking for the font without any luck, I found www.myfonts.com

I was actually amazed at how easy it was to navigate the web site and view samples until I stumbled upon the “exact” font that I was looking for, yes! Registration and purchase was also a breeze, and I can't wait to try out the ‘WhatTheFont?’ application in the future....

Kudos to your webmaster/designer, and kudos to your content manager. I am certain you will continue to receive my business for years to come.”

— Gregory of Marina Del Rey, California, February 7th 2005

“Wow! This is great! I have a new client with a very distinctive typeface and in seconds I had my answer!

Thanks VERY MUCH!!”

— Gloria from Woodland, WA, January 21st 2005

“Just a note of thanks...your WTF Guru Forum rocks! I had a response in minutes. Another font site wanted to charge $20.00 just to identify it. My client and I are eternally grateful. Hope I can help someone some day and return the favor.

I'll never shop for fonts anywhere else!

Your Ever-Loyal-Customer,
Jennifer”

— Jennifer, January 17th 2005

“You are wonderful.

At first I glanced in to see what you were about. I miss the days of decent type...a lot.

I tried to be helpful, and realized how much I've forgotten. And to think, I use to own and run a type shop - living, breathing, eating it 24/7 a week.

Then today, I had to duplicate a quick logo. I knew that I knew the typeface - but couldn't remember the name. Oh, it was something like a Lithos, but not... I went to your site and uploaded it - it asked me to identify a few of the letters - and next thing I know, I was being shown a complete alphabet of ITC Tempus Sans.

Thank you so much. I'm glad I found www.myfonts.com”

“Out-of-hours I'm a ... Stage Manager for ‘Zodiac Amateur Operatic Society.’ I also write, edit, design, publish and print Zodiac’s posters and programmes. I'm not an artist or a print professional but a keen amateur who wishes to know how to do the job properly. And that--of course--includes fonts. Understanding them, choosing them, and buying them. One of my rules, which also applies to books and software: if it’s worth using then it’s worth paying for.”

— Roger Turner of Frodsham, U.K. (winner of an Indie Fonts book), July 1st 2004

You must have some really nice folks working there!”

“I can honestly say that I never visit the web sites of other commercial font sites without wishing they could be even a fraction as attractive, fun, or user-friendly as yours. Kudos to whoever designed yours, and thanks for the hard work and the philosophy that makes such a design possible. Love your newsletter, too.”

— Isabelle, April 6th 2004

Let me add that your site gives easy access to details about an incredible number of fonts and font families; it goes way beyond the much less functional sites of other font, foundry, and line setter sites that I have seen.”
