One of his most notable projects, Arus Kapuas, was developed in collaboration with the local media outlet Pontinesia, serving as a typographic identity for the city of Pontianak and garnering regional media attention. Additionally, his typefaces were utilized in Peta Rasa Kota Pontianak, a government-commissioned large-scale display board that showcases the culinary heritage of Pontianak, typeset entirely with his fonts. Fikry views type design as a means to visually express local culture, translating the heritage, landscape, and identity of West Kalimantan into contemporary letterforms.
