Heinrich Vogeler was an artist, designer, illustrator and teacher. He was known for his paintings and for his illustrations of fairy tales. He also did some work for the art nouveau magazine, "Pan." He was a resident for a time of the artist colony at Worpswede, in the flat moorland northeast of Bremen, Germany.
