Mark Davies
After jobs as a Youth Hostel warden, hospital porter and science teacher, Mark worked on a Gujarati text processor and print enhancer for the Amstrad CPC computers in the mid-80s, using bitmap fonts and an early glyph substitution algorithm to produce the syllabic forms required by North Indian scripts. The last twenty years he has been restoring and helping to run a farmhouse in the Basque Country, whilst maintaining the typographic connection by creating vectorized T-shirt designs for a local screen printer.
