About Romper Font Family

Romper is a slightly narrow handwritten sans in four weights and it is perfect if you want to convey a casual and friendly feel. It was designed with the idea to be used on comic books, mobile applications and children’s books, thus it has a Dancing Baseline version (Romper DB) and a Slanted version (each of them in four weights as well). The family is equipped with 450+ glyphs, has Latin Extended and Cyrillic Support (both Russian and Bulgarian) and a lovely set of extras. The family includes a lot of discretionary ligatures and alternate letters for more variety in the design. Overall, Romper is cute, amiable and really versatile, so it will fit most applications - think greeting cards, menus, merchandise, books, packaging, websites, etc.

About DearType

“I’d like to think that DearType’s fonts are not fonts for their own sake, but serve a specific purpose,” Veneta Rangelova, the foundry’s creator and sole designer says. “Coming from a branding background, where every design decision is grounded in brand strategy, I try to design fonts that convey a certain feel and clearly speak for the business they represent.” Located in Sofia, Bulgaria, DearType started out as a blog about typography. “A few years in, I figured it would make a great company name and thus in 2014 a foundry was born.” Veneta first became interested in type design through her job as a creative director at a branding agency. “Even though we handle projects from different fields, I can say that selecting the right font is half of the job,” she says. “As time passed, I became convinced that font and color alone can create a striking impression and thus should always be a priority. I like how a font can tell a story on its own, which inspired me to give type design a try.” Her first type family on MyFonts was Brunette - a whimsical, handmade script that is humble and approachable. Since her debut, Veneta has gone on to demonstrate her design prowess with an impressively diverse library of designs ranging from bold and bubbly Hello Headline to her modern, rough brush script Renovation. Her best selling font to date is LifeHack - a friendly, hand drawn casual script with lots of personality - which was featured as one of MyFonts Most Popular fonts of 2015, an impressive way to cap off her first full year selling fonts. Clearly there is much to look forward to from Veneta Rangelova.
