While many characteristics that define each of these classifications are unique, Renner and Johnston’s seminal typefaces both inherently have proportional and tonal similarities. It’s these similarities and the idiosyncrasies within each design that provided the inspiration for Apta.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eApta is structured with Roman proportions with a mono-linear build and is distinguished by consistent vertically cut terminals — a humanist trait derived from straight joins of shoulder to stem.
