Most of them are typologically unusual in that they are \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Semi-syllabary\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"\u003esemi-syllabic\u003c\/a\u003e rather than purely \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Alphabetic\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"\u003ealphabetic\u003c\/a\u003e.\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Iberian_scripts#cite_note-1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e[1]\u003c\/a\u003e The oldest Iberian inscriptions date to the 4th or possibly the 5th century BCE, and the latest from end of the 1st century BCE or possibly the beginning of the 1st century CE.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe characters in this font do not contain all the characters of the Iberian script.
