However, nowadays, the problems of technological constraints that used to distort typefaces have almost disappeared as technology evolves and conditions change. This has led Monotype to redesign all the classic Thai typefaces, which have been developed for over half a century, to address the issues for contemporary usage.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eTaking into account the overall surface of the paper when arranging the printed characters, the new typefaces have been developed with a straighter alignment. Another improvement is the head loop of the characters, which is designed to be rectangular with rounded corners, allowing for more space inside the character’s head.
