Type Initiative

Type Initiative is a typefounding and design collective based in Canada and Greece. It was co-founded by type designers Michail Semoglou and Keith Chi-hang Tam, who are both graduates of the Department of Typography and Graphic Communication at the University of Reading, UK. With a solid background in calligraphy and lettering and formal training in typeface design, Type Initiative is committed to building a type library that addresses the linguistic, conceptual, functional and aesthetic challenges of contemporary typographic design.
