the MyFonts newsletter of features and fonts - May ’05 (issue 14)

This font is Sattler AS

here are many elegant text fonts available on MyFonts, but we particularly like the Esta family, one of this month’s three Rising Stars. And The Da Vinci Code phenomenon must be affecting us, too, as you will see in our Popular Featured Font of the Month.

Three Rising Stars
Every month we sign up new foundries who provide new, innovative fonts. In this 14th issue of Rising Stars, we want to show you three of our top-selling new fonts.

Adore possesses some of the most unique and imaginative letter shapes around. Use it in plenty of applications: wedding paraphernalia, chapter titles, posters, poetry, book covers. Adore

Worstveld Sting includes 13 typeface designs, including regular, condensed, expanded and wide weights. The fonts have a casual, cursive look and are perfect for invitations, posters, and scrapbooking. Worstveld Sting

Esta is very elegant and refined, with several styles, including upper and lowercase ligatures for both regular and bold versions, as well as an expert version for use in tables and graphs. Esta is a typeface family that can be used at all sizes.

Popular Featured Font of the Month

Every day we feature a different font on the MyFonts home page, a great reason to come back to our site.

Last month one of our most popular featured fonts was P22 Da Vinci from P22. The great Italian artist, inventor, and visionary Leonardo da Vinci created an extraordinary variety of work which continues to amaze those who study it.

This set faithfully captures Leonardo’s remarkable imagination and includes an exclusive Da Vinci Backwards font (reflecting the artist’s own unique style of handwriting). The 72 extras included are drawn from Leonardo’s sketchbooks and journals.

Last month we featured Bodoni Classic Deco as one of our three Rising Stars. Following its success, Wiescher Design has released two additonal Deco designs.
