Three Rising
Stars Every month we provide new, innovative fonts and sign up new foundries. In this 20th issue of Rising Stars, we want to show you three of our top-selling new fonts. Leaf has two distinct looks: in size 24 or smaller, the look is delicate, because your eye doesn’t see any space in the letters. In size 28 or larger, the eye can discern spaces, which gives a different facet to its personality. This font looks good when viewed on screen, but really shines when printed. Leaf is a perfect blend of quaint handwritten style mixed with crisp letter formations. 
Americratika is a rough handwritten script with an ink-drawn feel to it. It works well in display headlines and invitations.
Our third Rising Star is a display face that works well for titling in posters, newsletters, and big print. One of a kind, the typographer has taken a stencil design and turned it into an alternative grunge font.

Fleurons Fleurons, also known as flowers or printers’ flowers, serve as decorative embellishments for your designs. One newly released fleurons font that you’ll find on our Starlets page is Fleurons One from Wiescher Design (the script font is Nadine):
A perennial favorite is Nat Vignette (available in two designs) from Paratype. Use Nat Vignette One and Two to add fleurons, composed borders, and corners to your invitations and posters (the script font is Liana):

Border Fonts
ASTYPE Ornaments Christmas B is a new ornaments font released just in time for the holidays. To get the most out of this ornament font you should use an application capable of handling different leadings (line heights), like Adobe Illustrator and InDesign. The font includes OpenType features that allow you to rotate elements, use snowflakes as a wallpaper background, and activate color layers.
