Four Rising Stars
Every month we add new, innovative fonts and sign up new foundries. In this 27th issue of Rising Stars, we want to show you 4 of our top-selling new fonts.

P22 Zaner
P22 Zaner is based on ornamental penmanship. The Zaner font set includes four unique fonts that complement one another. The OpenType version offers the most characters, options, and overall functionality. Zaner is perfect for wedding invitations and documents that require a touch of elegance.

Estilo Script
Estilo Script is an elegant headline typeface in an art deco style with a nice complement of small caps and Greek characters. It is the perfect companion design to Estilo.

Korataki
Korataki is a futuristic, geometric font that delivers a clean bold look. We like its science fiction appeal. Note that alternates are included for A, G, Q and 4.

Lindsey Pro
Lindsey Pro is a fun, casual font based on a teenager’s handwriting. The typeface was developed to take advantage of the rich typographic OpenType features of newer OpenType-savvy applications, such as Adobe Creative Suite, QuarkXPress 7, and Microsoft Expression.

Focus on Design Trends: Gothic Fonts

Gothic fonts, such as our rising star Korataki, are clean striking designs that are perfect for use as display and headline fonts. We like using them in posters and signs. Gothic fonts convey confidence and assurance. Big & bold — that’s how we like our gothic fonts!

Big and Bold Gothic
American Gothic

American Gothic is a blocky and bold geometric sans design with inner angles and outer curves. This unique design has no ascenders; the lowercase characters are as big as the uppercase ones. We like mixing the caps and the lowercase characters for variety.

Elegant Gothic
Continental Gothic

The recently released Continental Gothic is a sophisticated design. It’s perfect for any art deco project needing a font that is not too bold or overpowering.

Proportional Gothic Based on a Monospace Design
New Letter Gothic

Because of its clear and easy-to-read letter shapes, New Letter Gothic is popular for display and advertising. The idea behind the design was to create a typeface similar to Letter Gothic in letter shape, but with proportional characters. New Letter Gothic received an Award for Excellence in Type Design at the Kyrillitsa International Type Design competition in Moscow.

Tattoo Gothic
Sailor Gothic

Sailor Gothic is based upon the Americana folk art tradition of tattoo design. Throughout the late 19th and 20th centuries, sailors would popularize and spread motifs, designs and styles by carrying this art on their sleeves. Now you can carry on that tradition: choose from four distinct Sailor styles!

When it comes to gothic fonts, BA Graphics has creative variations on the clean bold gothic style, including the decorative Linear Gothic, funny and informal Animated Gothic, poster-ready Sign Gothic Bold Condensed, trendy and retro Metro Gothic, and the fashionable and sign-bound Road Gothic.
