Stefan Schlesinger

In 1925 Stefan Schlesinger moved to the Netherlands, where he worked as a multi-disciplined designer and developed a reputation for stylish and playful design. He designed the packaging for the world famous Van Houten chocolate, many advertisements for the Metz & Co. department store, and many signs and posters for the city of Amsterdam.

While working on his typeface Rondo with the Lettergieterij Amsterdam, Schlesinger was deported to the Westerbork camp in 1942.
