Thomas Gabriel

Thomas Gabriel was born and lives in Vienna, Austria. After graduating in the field of graphic design, he went abroad to study the craftsmanship of typeface design at the type&media Master course in The Hague (NL). Two years later he co-founded Typejockeys, one of the first Austrian foundries, in Vienna. For the last 10 years he followed continued his passion and released several award winning type families like Premiéra, Aniuk and Vito.

2016 marks a big change, in which he found the Dots&Stripes Type Foundry. The start of a new foundry is always challenging, but offers new opportunities and the chance of raising ones bar of expectations and quality standards.
