Valeria Duarte

Valeria Duarte is a Graphic Design student at the Instituto Superior de Diseño Aguas de la Cañada, in Córdoba, Argentina.

Milonguita is her first typographic work, but it will be followed by a number of projects which are still in process. She is interested mostly in calligraphic and hand-written fonts. Valeria tries to focus on the sensitivity of the letter and its capacity to convey emotions through the expressiveness of shapes and counters.

She also likes to spend her free time painting and drawing, using different techniques and working with aquarelles, pastels, carbon and pencils. By combining both activities (design and art), it is possible for her to resort to a wider variety of resources and this allows her to obtain more complex, varied and creative results, which are also authentic and spontaneous.
