First seen on MyFonts: February 28th, 2006 Berthold Walbaum Standard BQJustin Erich Walbaum’s typeface of 1804 was cut by hand, thus, varying in forms and proportions in each size. Günter Gerhard Lange’s Berthold Walbaum Standard, released in 1976, is based on the 8 and 10 point sizes. Intended for use at smaller point sizes, Berthold Walbaum Standard is slightly more expanded, has less contrast between thick and thin strokes and the serifs are more heavily weighted than Berthold Walbaum Book in order to avoid reproduction problems sometimes common in smaller sizes.
