Diva
From the time and place of true Divas, the late Italian nineteenth century, comes a handwriting that is soft, cultured, elegant, down to earth, and capable of surpassing the aesthetic limitations of any era.
And just like a true Diva, this handwriting connects with its reader instantly and lovingly, calling attention to the art and beauty hidden in everything it touches.
Diva was based on and digitally expanded from a 1930s Nebiolo pen-script design which emulated Italian handwriting styles of the turn of the century. This font is a must for anyone who wants to express a soft, natural, and classical human presence in design.
Ideal for book covers, romance settings, food-and-drink labels, magazine advertisement, and web sites that can use the personal touch of a Diva. Extra care was taken to keep the outlines legible at script text sizes and smooth and curvy for headline and sign usage, while maintaining a realistic elegant handwriting feel.
A generous assortment of alternates and ligatures are included in the package. Among the alternates, the entire set of minuscules was reworked for shorter word endings, some majuscule alternates and personal prefixes were made, along with a few other pleasant surprises fit for the handwriting of a Diva.
