Design Credits
First seen on MyFonts: November 3rd, 2004 Parsnip NFWill Ransom designed the exemplar for this series for Barnhart Brothers & Spindler in the early 1900s. The typeface was originally named Parsons, after the advertising director of a Chicago department store (evidently a very BIG customer of BB&S). The Swash Caps version includes border elements, initial caps frames, and alternate characters with extended ascenders and descenders. Letters set in this font should be twice the point size of the regular and italic fonts. NOTE FOR WINDOWS USERS: If you plan to use the Swash Caps version of this font in non-Adobe programs, please buy either the TrueType or the OpenType (CFF flavor) version; the Postscript version may not show up on your font menu.
