Baraquiel is based on an interesting style of calligraphic script we found in a turn-of-the-century magazine ad. It is much more acutely slanted than most scripts, and has pretty dramatic variations in weight.

Nonetheless it has high readability and works well in combination with many of our text fonts, particularly Evadare and Albemarle.
