First seen on MyFonts: November 17th, 2004 AmienneA font that resembles handwriting done with a watercolor brush? Why not? That was the thinking behind Amienne, a completely unexpected departure from the creator of such fonts as Neuropol X and Bomr. Charmingly informal, Amienne is a lively brush script font that moves with a nimble rhythm. Airy and graceful without being overly feminine, Amienne is delicately rounded in all the right places. No wallflower, Amienne Bold is amply proportioned without being overweight. Amienne has full upper and lower case, regular numerals, accents, punctuation and some pretty handy arrows. There is an additional set of old-style numerals, great for titling. Amienne comes in TrueType, PostScript and OpenType, compatible with Windows and Mac. Over 50 ligatures not usually found in script fonts make Amienne remarkably versatile. In OpenType, you type the words and the ligatures just “happen.” In TrueType and PostScript, you simply choose the appropriate ligature from the supplied index. You’d expect Amienne to be the natural choice for greeting cards, invitations and headlines. Surprise! You didn’t expect it be so useful for product labels, certificates, advertising and store signage. Who would have thought Amienne would be so amiable? Not quite what you’re looking for?
