Pochoir

Pochoir is a sweet stencil antiqua typeface with round and thick serifs.

Once, on a university trip to Paris, Yanone saw some spray-stencil street art. This inspired him to redraw Underware’s Dolly (with permission) in a spray-stencil style, making many adjustments to weight and character shapes to bring about Pochoir.

The art form of stencils have first appeared in Paris in the 1980s.
