Über Mindburger Studio

“Everything in Mindburger Studio actually starts as an experiment,” says the company’s founder and primary designer, Milos Mitrovic. Originally located in Serbia, the foundry was started by self-described “typography freaks” late in the year 2011. Since then, Milos has moved himself and his work to Norway and currently runs his company from the city of Bergen. A studio focused on visualization, typography and design, Mindburger made its MyFonts debut with the Bambino family in early 2015. “As we are very into geometric fonts, we made Bambino basically just for internal use on various projects that we were working on,” Milos says. “After a while we realized that it could contain more than two weights and we got more serious about the project and put all of our ideas into the production of the typeface.” Milos, the heart and soul of the foundry, works with several other designers, most prominently, Goran Kamenov. He surrounds himself with an experienced group of graphic designers and art directors, each of which is constantly working on various types of projects. Each of their outside projects over the years reinforced their understanding of just how crucial a part of the visual language type design plays. Looking forward to his company’s bright future, Milos says, “We have engaged all of the engines.” Look out.
