Bernadete is a sans serif family that strikes a balance between precision and freedom. It draws from the logic of geometric grotesques but avoids rigidity. Its design decisions favor fluidity, rhythm, and breathing space — resulting in a natural, straightforward reading experience.

With clean shapes, flat terminals, and low contrast, Bernadete’s strokes carry intention. Open counters and controlled spacing support legibility across a wide range of applications — from branding and editorial to interfaces and signage.

Ink traps are visible and deliberate. More than a technical solution, they add character to the forms. The z and y feature handwritten-inspired gestures that soften the structure and introduce a subtle human touch. The t, short and unassuming, reinforces clarity without drawing attention.

Bernadete doesn’t aim for neutrality. It’s discreet, but not invisible. Its personality lives in the details: the curve of the a, the arch of the e, the subtle sway of the s, the sharp cuts — elements that disrupt predictability and bring presence.

The family includes a variable font with full control over weight and style, as well as a static set covering a wide typographic range — from Thin to Heavy, with matching italics. This versatility makes Bernadete suitable for both expressive headlines and functional text.
