WIP Grand Ma depicts the handwriting of an old woman, representing the kindness and reliability that we appreciate of our grandma. The (lower case) characters are joined as it is usual in German speaking countries. Originally designed in 1995 the font has been extended by a lot of new characters such as accented characters, punctuation, symbols and currency symbols.

Über WIP Fonts

Write It Personal (WIP) Fonts, aka wipfonts, is a small type foundry from Vienna (Austria) specialized in handwriting fonts. Since 1993 we design and distribute real handwriting fonts with joining characters for use in direct marketing, direct mails and advertisement with personal flair. The fonts are highly legible and characteristic for the handwriting in German speaking countries. The complete revision of all fonts in 2005 resulted in their optimal kerning and the addition of numerous glyphs like currency-symbols, accents and ligatures, arrows and mathematical symbols.
