Mario Falaschini

Mario began his career as a travelling salesman for Olivetti, the renowned Italian corporation often likened to the Apple of its era. Drawing inspiration from the modernist aesthetics of his previous employer, he crafted the iso-logo for his retail shop, Contaformas, in the 1970s. This shop has now lent its name to the foundry established by his son, Leonardo, which has since relocated to the UK. Even today, Mario, despite living with Essential Tremors, remains undeterred by this moderate disability. He continues to express his creativity, thinking outside the box and practising lettering design every day. His journey reflects resilience, passion and innovative spirit.
