Über die Familie

Octagonica is a modern typeface inspired by the geometry and aesthetics of 20th century sports posters. It was created for designers looking for a form that is dynamic, compact and expressive – ideal for use in corporate identity, information systems and posters. The design of the letters is based on a rigorous grid, where rhythmic modules dominate. The letters have something of the numbers on jerseys, stadium signs, but also historical affishes advertising sporting events. Thanks to variable font technology, the user can seamlessly control the thickness, width and expression of the letters. From the precise, technical hairline condensed version to the heavy and monumental black expanded, the typeface adapts to the needs of the project. This flexibility makes it not only an aesthetic choice, but also a practical tool. Octagonica combines structure and energy. It is a typeface that speaks loudly but precisely. Created to convey emotion, to act in motion and to have an impact on a large scale – in both physical and digital spaces. Design Team: Mateusz Machalski & Weronika Kanigowska
