Über die Familie

Raxmus is an exquisite flared serif typeface that emulates the style of type that has been carved into stone. This 18-font family excels in titles, headlines and branding instances, but with its generous x-height and precise forms, Raxmus would also be very comfortable when deployed for website and document body copy.

My type releases are renowned for their quality, versatility, affordability, and their enhanced features. Raxmus is no exception to this and includes a wide range of extras to satisfy your type buds.

Stylistic Set 1 – Swashes. These classical swash glyphs add even more refined elegance to your typographic compositions. Additionally, there are some non-swash alternates, including The Prisoner-style /E/e/ glyphs.

Stylistic Set 2 – Discretionary Ligatures. These all-cap designs link two glyphs to add flair to your titles and headlines.

Stylistic Set 3 – Swash Discretionary Ligatures. This style of ligature combines either a swash ‘K’ or ‘R’ with small cap glyphs.

Stylistic Set 4 – Extended Descenders. 17 glyphs are extended below the baseline with a tapered serif to produce an elegantly-curved ‘foot’ terminal.

In addition, Small Caps are included – these harmonise with lowercase forms making unicase-style typography quick and easy. There are 18 fonts in this family, ranging from Thin to Black in both roman and italic styles. Raxmus has an extensive character set that covers all Latin European languages.

Über Paulo Goode

As a child I was fascinated by the multitude of letterforms that surround us, I would spend hours drawing words (and cars) in my sketchbooks. I don’t know what happened to those sketches, but I certainly never made it as an automobile designer! Maybe there’s a chance my fonts will prove more successful? As I grew up, I developed my artistic skills and became a technical illustrator and moved into graphic design with the advent of the Macintosh computer. At the age of 45 I rekindled my interest in typeface design and am thoroughly enjoying the process of font creation and producing some interesting typefaces of distinction. I'm still fascinated by the multitude of letterforms that surround us — and am very happy to be contributing my own.The Premium foundry page can be viewed Here.
