Über die Familie

Relative is a type family of two halves — a proportional set of weights from Book to Black (including Italics), and fixed-width pitched versions that are abridged by a ‘faux’ monospace cut.

This ‘Faux’ cut takes the restrictions of a monospace typeface, and subverts them into aesthetic traits (notably, see the ‘i’ and ‘l’), allowing the typeface to be spaced proportionally and retain some of the sensibility of its fixed-width cousins.Relative is available in four weights — Book, Medium, Bold and Black — with corresponding Italics, as well as pitched monospaced variants in 10, 11 and 12 Pitch, and lastly a Faux-monospaced variant. It is available to license in both Standard (‘STD’) and Professional (‘PRO’) versions, the latter contains Cyrillic and Greek scripts and also copious OpenType features and stylistic alternates.
