Über die Familie

The inspiration source for Ruse Monogram is a unique letterset called "DeRoos Inline" from an old type specimen tearsheet. To create more monogram versatility in the design, a solid version, as well as a scaled down numbering set and flourish ornamentation are also added to the font. Ruse Monogram is capable of several traditional monogram forms, in both solid and inline styles. Download and view the Ruse Monogram Guidebook if you would like to learn a little more. Ruse Monogram comes complete with both Pro and Standard format fonts. For those with programs that can take advantage of OpenType features, the Pro fonts are for you, but for others without the ability to use OpenType features, we've created separate fonts that make up the styles contained in the Pro font.

Monogram Fonts Co. is a product of type designer, Brian J. Bonislawsky, known for his involvement in the Astigmatic One Eye Typographic Institute, the Breaking the Norm Font Library, VersusTwin Type Foundry, and Foundry-X. In looking ahead and planning his wedding to his optometrist fiancée, he realized that monogramming seemed an integral part in most wedding invitations as well as personal item branding. However, there seemed to be a distinct lack of monogram typefaces, outside of embroidery fonts. As a result, and with the desire to change that, a new font company is born with the hopes of becoming the Monogram Authority on the web!
