Introducing RAWLASANS is a Handmade Font

A bold sans serif display typeface with a raw style, handcrafted with human hands. Inspired by authentic creations that embrace imperfection but this font is perfect for displays and logos, as well as for apparel design, quotes, packaging, merchandise, signs, or anything that needs an original handmade feel.

fyi, Rawlasans is derived from the Javanese word "rolasan," which means taking a break during work hours. It serves as a reminder of the importance of pausing to breathe in every journey. May your days ahead be filled with meaning.

Über RYS Design Studio

RYS Design Studio was founded by Witoko Aji Laksono in 2017. Originally starting his career as a designer specializing in hand-lettering under the name Rasayangsama, Witoko later shortened it to RYS to represent the studio’s identity. As a small studio operated solely by myself with support from freelance designers, we focus on creating unique and highly specific designs rooted in the art of craftsmanship. Our work emphasizes handmade aesthetics, including hand-lettering styles and hand-drawn illustrations. At RYS, we take pride in producing authentic, human-crafted designs. This ethos extends to the creation of fonts with a slightly rough, hand-drawn aesthetic—perfect for those who appreciate the charm of handmade or handwritten styles. We are also open to collaborations, especially those seeking to leverage our distinctive style. Our goal is to create designs that resonate with people and are visible in the public sphere.Feel free to explore our work, and stay tuned for more creations from RYS Design Studio!
