This is a traditional semi-cursive script (Gyosho), designed to be suitable for both vertical and horizontal text layouts. The kana characters are slightly larger, maintaining proper alignment during typesetting. It features a distinctive effect when used for composition. The typeface is versatile across various weights, making it suitable for small headlines, main body text, and large headlines.
With extensive use of seamless, flowing strokes, it incorporates "Renmen-sen" (connected cursive lines), a characteristic feature of this script. Great care has been taken to emphasize the smooth, flowing movement of brush strokes, a hallmark of Gyosho script. Another unique aspect of this script is the variation in stroke treatment for the same radical, differentiating, for example, "hen" and "tsukuri," staying true to the natural style of semi-cursive characters.
