Über die Familie

In my house, we refer to typing with just the index fingers of each hand "tippy tappy typing." I'm not good with my thumbs, so if I have to type on my phone, I prefer to set it down flat and tippy tappy type on it.

Thus, when I decided to draw a font that's typewriter-ish, the name seemed perfect!

This one was all draw by hand, then cleaned up so it will both print and cut well. And to make things even more fun, I drew a set of almost 100 bonus items: doodles, shapes, squiggles, swirls, arrows, and catchwords of "and" and "the". They're included in the separate "Tippy Tappy Dingbats" font file.

Tippy Tappy Type includes all the basic characters you'd expect. But it also includes over 300 accented and extended Latin characters for language support! And uppercase character sets in both Greek and Cyrillic!

Über Missy Meyer

Missy Meyer has decades of lettering and illustration under her belt; when looking to change careers in her 40s, graphic design seemed like the perfect way to go. She soon found her way into font design, and has been in love ever since. She specializes in quirky, casual, fun fonts that don't take themselves too seriously, but are still clean and easy to work with. (What did she do before design? It's been an amazing variety of jobs, including: bank teller, pizza chef, accountant, camp counselor, casino dealer, singing improv comedian, and game show host at Walt Disney World.)
