VLNL Ironware

VLNL Ironware is a solid heavy metal industrial sans serif, with a distinct echo to 1980s/1990s arcade games. Ironware goes without any curves whatsoever, and sports spikey serifs on several irregular places. It contains two alternate stylistic sets giving lots of design play possibilities, and also a full set of Cyrillic characters for our Eastern European friends.

Motion picture graphic designer Henning Brehm designed VLNL Ironware for a specific purpose. It's featured in the Hollywood movie ‘The Fall Guy’, starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt, which premiered in May 2024. ‘Metalstorm’ is the name of the movie within that movie. Henning Brehm's logo design is featured on the stunt crew shirts and equipment. That Metalstorm logo formed the basis for the Ironware font.

VLNL Ironware is designed to be used for heavy logos and headlines. It rocks.
