Wafi Zimamul

Hello, My name is Wafi Zimamul from Indonesia, the designer behind Waftype an independent, one person type foundry. After more than five years working as a freelance designer specializing in logos and book covers, I decided to take a new step into the world of type design. Creating typefaces has given me a level of creative freedom and clarity I had never experienced before. Over the past year, I’ve dedicated myself to studying typography through courses, mentors, and continuous learning online. The process has been both challenging and deeply rewarding, and it has strengthened my commitment to building high-quality, purposeful typefaces. Waftype is the result of that journey: a studio dedicated to crafting clear, modern, and functional typefaces designed for real-world use. My goal is to create well-built fonts that are accessible, versatile, and enjoyable for designers across all creative fields.
