aliipey is an independent type foundry exploring the Arabic script and its many visual possibilities. The foundry focuses on typefaces for Arabic, Persian, Kurdish, Urdu, and other Arabic-script languages, with an interest in creating expressive and distinctive letterforms. The first typeface, Donut Arabic, was started in 2024 and completed in 2026, with more typefaces in development.
