À propos de la famille

CA Yoshiro Pixel is a digital-age reinterpretation of the classic CA Yoshiro type family — now rebuilt from the ground up in crisp, modular pixels. It embraces the charm of early computer typography while maintaining the futuristic and technical spirit of the original CA Yoshiro design. The CA Yoshiro Pixel Family consists of three subfamilies, each exploring a different texture of pixel rendering: CA Yoshiro Pixel — pure, sharp-edged pixels for clean, grid-based aesthetics. For razor-sharp results, use sizes in multiples of 13 px (e.g. 13 px, 26 px, 39 px). CA Yoshiro Pixel Blur — mimicking the look of thermal printers, where pixels soften and connect, creating a warm, analog digital feel. CA Yoshiro Pixel Round — featuring rounded pixel dots, reminiscent of vintage dot-matrix printers. Each subfamily offers two widths — Normal and Wide — with Regular and Bold styles in each, providing flexibility across digital and print applications. Like its predecessor, CA Yoshiro Pixel carries a distinctive sci-fi flair, enriched with alternate stylistic sets for futuristic and experimental typography. With over 1000 glyphs, it supports an extensive range of languages, including Cyrillic, Greek, and Vietnamese. Perfect for: retro-futuristic branding, UI design, gaming, pixel art, and display typography where digital nostalgia meets modern precision.

À propos Cape Arcona Type Foundry

The Cape Arcona Type Foundry is a type studio based in Essen/Germany run by Stefan Claudius and Thomas Schostok, established in 2002. In our work, we are aiming for typefaces with a non-conformist personality. Over the years, the field of business expanded from individual typeface design to custom font production, corporate and logo design and complex text-font families. This is the kind of work we love: Thinking beyond the ordinary, imagining better worlds and better fonts.
