À propos de la famille

Cal Roundhand is one more PKG calligraphy font based on traditional manuscript – English Roundhand. Our initial idea was to create flexible, sophisticated and elegant script typefaces based on classical Roundhand (well-known as Copperplate) Script, characterized by an open flowing calligraphic style and subtle contrast of thick and thin strokes deriving from metal pointed nibs in which the flexibility of the metal allows the left and right halves of the point to spread apart under light pressure and then spring back together. It was the most widespread script in the period between the 17th and 18th centuries in Europe and North America, a script that visually presents a spirit of the Baroque applied art at it’s best, till today.

Cal Roundhand typeface is very useful for calligraphic sketches creating, mimesis of ancient manuscripts, and many trendy needs of typographers too. Font contains multilingual Latin and Serbian and Macedonian Cyrillic.

At last, the fact is that brush script font - Drina had the greatest commercial success, but on the other hand, our more artistic project - Hubble font, is one of winning fonts on Modern Cyrillic Competition 2021, organized by Paratype.
