À propos de la famille

The Swiss Didone Gallensis comes in three optical sizes in total: Text, Title, and Grande. Gallensis Text is optimised for small sizes, making it ideal for book text and extended reading while still preserving clarity. Gallensis Title is the perfect fit for sophisticated short text setting, whether for glossy magazines or premium branding. Or, take it another notch higher with the ultra-contrast Gallensis Grande, best for when you need that extra touch of elegance in large text setting.

Designed by renowned Swiss typographer and educator Peter Renn, with the help of Marc Weymann, London, and named after the city of St. Gallen, where Renn learned and taught typography, Gallensis embodies his design philosophy of merging perceived opposites, like content versus style, or information versus entertainment. As such, the Gallensis triple family is the perfect harmonious blend of the straightforward clarity of Swiss design and the expressive sophistication of Didone typefaces.

Gallensis includes small caps, multiple figure sets, and a complete Latin character set, including the German uppercase sharp S (ẞ).
