This gothic typeface was created by the Character Font Development and Promotion Center for use in headlines in response to the Heisei Mincho typeface. In consideration of digitalization, this is a simple typeface with no elements in the beginning strokes. The space of the font is designed to average the distribution of black and white, and the center of gravity is placed slightly lower to give the characters a sense of stability. Weight variations are available for use in body text.
