À propos de la famille

They are the evolution of Didot where the curve dominates the straight line. The x-height of the lower case letters has grown substantially and this makes the letters more legible from small sizes. The Katsoulidis family was presented with Apollonia family after a study that began in 1986, as part of research programs in Universities, which along with the design lasted until 1989. The new version released in 2010 is redesigned while new symbols and characters that are supporting fully the Western and Central European Character Set are added. The new version also includes 4 types of numbering (Lining, Tabular Lining, Old Style, Tabular Old Style).

À propos Fonts.GR

Fonts.GR, Greek Digital Type Library (originally Cannibal) was founded in 1995 with the aim to enrich and renew the Greek typography. The permanent members (Panos Haratzopoulos, Yannis Karlopoulos), their regular collaborators and many other graphic designers that they have cooperated at times, equally skilled in typography and with a significant contribution to graphic design and visual arts.During this time Fonts.GR has designed and published to the Greek and international market new font designs, original or Greek versions, which were accepted with enthusiasm since they covered the need for dynamic communication tools. Many of these fonts were coincided (in terms of communication) with major events (Olympic Games Athens 2004, Greek Presidency of the European Union) and supported the graphic communication of agencies, institutions, advertising companies, newspapers and other publications. Fonts.GR's “Stella Project” (2013-2018), a study in the forgotten art of calligraphy of the 50s, 60s and 70s, gained great publicity in Greece. It led to the production of original fonts widely used in Greek packaging and branding, an exhibition at the Benaki Museum, a documentary on ERT3 public television and a series of lectures and workshops in Greece and Cyprus.Fonts.GR has been providing consulting services related to the design of Greek characters to many Type Foundries and independent designers around the world.
