Nacir Imache

I’m Nacir Imache, a graphic and type designer with over 10 years of experience, specializing in multilingual typography — particularly in the development of Arabic and Latin type systems. My practice is rooted in a deep interest in visual identity, language, and cultural expression, aiming to build bridges between scripts through coherent and respectful design.

Throughout my academic journey — from the École des Beaux-Arts in Algiers to the Accademia di Belle Arti in Perugia and IUAV University in Venice — I focused my research on harmonizing Arabic and Latin scripts within contemporary type design. I’ve always sought to create visual consistency between these systems, exploring how they can coexist within a unified typographic voice.

Professionally, I’ve designed custom typefaces for international brands, cultural events, and editorial projects. Several of my works have focused specifically on Arabic script development, combining traditional calligraphic heritage with modern typographic needs — always with attention to clarity, structure, and cultural nuance.
