À propos de la famille

Sassoon Felt’s more casual letterforms can be used either as informal text or for the teaching of reading and handwriting; having the letterforms most taught in UK schools. These fonts are an educators alternative to

Comic Sans

(from Microsoft) and

Chalkboard

(from Apple), which are more appropriate for ‘Print’ style writing in United States Elementary schools and may also be appropriate for parts of Australia, which can be identified usually by crucifix t, diagonal y downstroke, short f, two-stroke and there may be more.

À propos Sassoon-Williams

Adrian Williams began his career converting many established metal designs for the new filmsetting devices in 1969; an era when Other Equipment Manufacturers offered their devices, each with its own kind of unit system for the operating program. During the 70s he became involved with converting typefaces to digitized systems and is responsible for many original designs which he redrew, working with each Manufacturer to make fonts for their unique formats. This led to the production of custom made fonts, designs for Corporate Identity and Branding commissions for Renault, Marks & Spencer, Jaguar Cards, Foster's Lager and many more familiar names! CLUB TYPE was founded in 1985 and established to offer a range of exclusive typefaces arising from a demand for quality typefaces on dedicated typesetting systems created prior to the emergence of the page description language for layout apps. Members received the entire annual design output as fonts meeting their specific machine requirements, with four color specimen books imprinted for Members' distribution. Between 1986 and 1990, nine families were converted from the original drawings which began the Club Type Collection which continues to grow. Advances in technology have made the Club Type Collection widely available for many popular electronic publishing systems' formats. Newly released typefaces and special offers update the Collection. You can find the complete User Guide, OpenType feature documentation, character sets, glyph charts and READMEs via the official Club Type resources.
