Sedid Typeface

Sedid is an Arabic concept meaning “solidity; truth”. The truth and solidity of a word is especially indicated with this word. I gave this name to the font family because I wanted to point out its truth and solidity. The sans serif Sedid font also serves very different design purposes thanks to the sixty styles it contains. In terms of the weights it offers, the Sedid font has Light, Regular, Medium, Semibold, Bold and Extrabold styles. All these weights also support the Condensed, Narrow, Normal, Wide and Expanded styles from narrow to wide. Thus, the Sedid font is a family consisting of seventy or sixty styles. The Sedid font has gained many innovations and improvements with the second version. The design of most of the glyphs in the font, especially the Arabic fonts, has been renewed, and thus the font has a more stable and aesthetic structure. In addition, the font has gained new opentype features with the second version and the existing opentype features have also been improved. The opentype features added to the Sedid font are as follows:

● Slashed zero

● Old style

● Localized forms

● Standard Ligatures/Dicretionary Ligatures/Historical Ligatures

● Numerator

● Denominator

● Fraction/Alternate fraction

● Ordinal (a-z)

● Small capital

● Small capital from capital

The Sedid font family can be used in all publishing and printing areas, in magazines, newspapers, books, poster and poster designs, and as text and title fonts on websites. Sedid also has a nice-looking, flexible, soft-lined and transitional face. The inner and outer spaces of the font are proportioned to ensure comfortable reading of the text. As Fontuma Foundry, we actually designed this user-friendly font not for the happiness and comfort you will feel when pressing the keyboard keys.
