Sven Skupien

Sven Skupien is the creator of the comic strip Doomed to Repeat and is a member of the National Cartoonists Society. He has worked in illustration and cartooning since 1984. This includes the early video game industry when he storyboarded games, directed animation and designed packaging art. In 2006 Sven co-created Rum Runners, an apparel partnership with Amazon. Under the brand name "Sven & Angus" the company has an extensive cartoon and digitally illustrated catalog. He creates apparel and other product designs for vintage characters like Woodsy Owl, Bozo the Clown and Laurel & Hardy. In 2024, he published a full-color collection of Doomed to Repeat comic strips, entitled AAARR! The Cat Did It: A Doomed to Repeat Collection. The book is available in four formats on Amazon, Kindle Unlimited and Barnes & Noble. The font ComicSvens was meticulously created using Sven's carefully honed classic hand lettering style.
