I’m (William Rizky )a self-taught type designer based in Indonesia. I got into type design after spending hours watching videos from local foundries I admire just out of curiosity at first, but it quickly turned into something more serious.
Over the past year, I’ve been exploring how letterforms can express personality, mood, and even nostalgia. I’m especially drawn to serif typefaces with a retro or elegant vibe—fonts that feel like they belong in a different time, but still work beautifully today.
I use FontLab to build my fonts from the ground up, and I enjoy handling the full process myself—from sketching and shaping to refining details and adding features. For me, type design isn’t just about making something functional; it’s about creating something that feels alive and memorable.
Right now I’m still learning and growing, but every new font is a step forward—and I’m excited to keep building a body of work that reflects both who I am and what I love.
