Emira Nur Rachmah
I’m a type designer working with Artha Type, where I have been developing typefaces for the past few years. My interest in type design started from experimenting with letterforms and gradually grew into a deeper interest in typography and the process of building complete type families.
Over time, I’ve worked on a variety of typefaces, exploring different styles and approaches depending on the character I want each design to have. I enjoy the process of refining a typeface, from the early sketches and basic letterforms to spacing, proportions, and the small details that make the whole family feel consistent.
I see type design as a combination of creativity and patience. There is usually a lot of testing and adjustment behind a finished font, and I enjoy that part of the work. Sometimes a small change to a single letter can affect the feeling of the entire typeface.
Through Artha Type, I continue to develop new typefaces and explore different ideas. My goal is to create fonts that have a distinct personality but are still practical and enjoyable for designers to use in their work.
