Jennifer Lynch

I'm Jennifer Lynch, an Irish type designer and calligrapher based in County Wexford. After dedicating several years to the art of pointed-pen calligraphy and studying both modern calligraphy and the traditional art of Copperplate. In 2018, I founded a bespoke calligraphy studio, Arcadia Script, creating commissioned calligraphy works. Alongside traditional scripts such as Copperplate, I developed my own contemporary lettering style, blending timeless elegance with a modern aesthetic. My passion for lettering naturally evolved into type design. I wanted to transform lettering that was once created by hand for individual pieces into thoughtfully crafted typefaces that could be enjoyed by many rather than just a few. To share this growing collection of typefaces, I founded Scriptique, my independent type foundry, where I combine the warmth of hand lettering with the versatility and reliability of professional digital typography. Every typeface reflects my appreciation for rhythm, balance and detail, with the aim of helping designers create work that feels both expressive and timeless.
